3/12 on 3rd and 4th

Everyone wants to talk about why we lost, but more times than not, turnovers and 3rd and 4th down efficiency will tell you who won a game.

Its what separates good offenses, and good play callers, and good QBs from the rest.  Throwing it for 7 yards on 1st down is a lot easier than on 3 and 6 when the defense knows how far you need to get and they know a better idea of run or pass.

This offense looks decent at times when we stay ahead of the sticks but you can't count on that all of the time.

How much of this is Brady?  or the QB?  or the line?

I’m Cam’s first game back he hit 6 receivers on 78% passing. Scored two TDs. Ran for 50 yards…on a defense that is very good even without Young.

The situational playcalling sucked. Period. If you want to win games then play to win. But calling a bunch of 5 yard out routes and checking down doesn’t work if your 3rd down efficiency is THAT bad and it wasn’t bc of incompletions. It was bc the routes that were completed weren’t enough to get the 1st down. So….that’s BAD play calling.

The number 2 fuging defense shouldn't give up 27 points to a Henkie led team ...

Plain and simple...

If you can't score more than 21 points against the 5th worst defense in the league, at home, do you really think you are good enough to beat good teams in the playoff?

Everyone is letting todays bad day by the offense let them distract them from what the bigger problem is.

Na in Today's NFL 21 points is below average

Oh look where we rank!

This isn't the 2nd ranked defense in the NFL. This is the padded our stats vs rookie QBs defense in the NFL.

The defense will bounce back. Could be as simple as it was just a bad matchup. The mediocre offensive production for the 20th straight week despite our QB completing 80% of his passes, running for 50 yards, no TOs and scoring two TDs….that’s still the problem. Some of the plays that Heinke made wouldn’t have been made 8/10 times. So some of it was just luck. That’ll get corrected and won’t be the case. Problem is our offense can’t ever bail us out of a bad situation and put up points.

    • Adding on to that - I know I read from some reporter that Dak Prescott's mentality is extremely fragile. Get in his head, and he loses focus and confidence. Per that reporter,  anytime a big game comes up, he starts to have the jitters and hasn't seem to overcome that slump. Dak would be an upgrade over Bryce as things currently stand. But Dak has not proven he can play in games that matters without choking. Bryce hasn't had the chance to show anything in the NFL, so nothing much to say there. But based on his history, he's done well in college in the national championship. Theoretically he should be more confident in big games if he gets to that point. For that alone, I'd rather keep rolling the dice on Bryce or set our sights higher. I wouldn't touch Dak with a 10 ft pole given his choking habits.
    • Same here brother, love Xavier I think he’s gonna become a quick fan favorite of the team. He already has gone viral for his country accent, we have no face of the franchise currently outside of maybe Derrick Brown in terms of media attention. I would not be surprised if in the next 4 years Xavier becomes that media darling we used to have in the 2010s with Luke, Cam, Josh Norman, CMC, etc.
    • I haven't been high on any of the WRs we drafted in the past.   This kid though is someone I actually wanted. I have a feeling we finally hit big with this kid. I'm expecting him to be a DJ Moore caliber WR.
