Article: Watson did not want the Panthers

Tepper, Fit and Rhule were ready to grab a guy with 22 unsettled lawsuits (weren't even worried about that), pay him another $10.5 million and be on the hook for $30+ million next year. And that guy has a history of not just sexual predation but of saying he'll sit at home rather than play for a coach/team he doesn't like.

What kind of fuging morons do that? Larry, Moe and Curly wouldn't come together and think that was a good decision!

We're stuck with Larry but Moe and Curly have got to go!

Edit to add: And let's not even talk about never having a decent draft pick for two or more years!

We're going to have to draft a guy.

I'd truly commit to the rebuild this off-season, and sell off assets for 2023 draft picks, then draft OL. We'll win maybe four games in 2022, and then draft a QB in the 1st in the 23 draft.

Kenny Pickett come on down!  You're the next contestant on "Get your career destroyed behind the Carolina o-line"!

If this is an example of what we're to expect from Rhule in the future, Tepper would do well to cut ties with Matt in the coming weeks.  No way Panthers can afford such a reckless individual to have the keys to the kingdom.  Rhule will ruin this franchise for years if he is retained for 2022.

LOL you don't think Tepper was the one driving that train?

In other words, do what they should have already done. Now we're two years into a rebuild with a bum coach and no end in sight

Draft someone at QB? Hopefully there will be an answer elsewhere.  We've traded too many draft picks for the poo show we have now.  We need offensive line help.

    • Lions were never going Freeling over Miller for the same reason we wouldn't have taken Miller had Freeling not been on the board. Miller is a career RT Lions have a hole at RT, we have a hole at LT. If we took Miller, it would have been for him to backup Moton until he retires and/or we release him, so the best case scenario is it would have been a wasted 1st round pick for at least 1, if not 2 years.  At least Freeling has a shot at playing this year without injury ahead of him, he absolutely can win the LT job if he earns it, but Miller would have never supplanted Moton this year unless he got hurt.
    • What up y’all. I like threads like this where we can stroll down memory lane. I remember the insane amount of site traffic pre-crash when we signed Keyshawn Johnson, 06 I believe. Raging about the Cowboys Christmas Eve loss in 05 (Peppers touched that FG attempt as sure as Cotchery caught it). When I found the huddle I basically had a first born baby, now I’ve got one in college and one in high school. Life comes at you fast, but the Panthers and the Huddle has been a steady constant in my life for many years.  Those who have been here, y’all are cool with me any time any where.    Cheers, genitals!
    • This is a weird post since it wasn’t like we got A’s across the board. We needed a QB and got a consensus top 2 player at that position. (I was pretty vocal that Stroud should’ve been the guy but…)  I think this draft we generally got better value. I’m not particularly optimistic on BY but another year in this offense playing with TMac he really needs to be a consistently average QB at a minimum
