Ellis Williams-Carolina Panthers must decide what to do with Brady Christensen. The film is telling

Despite what Rhule initially thought, Christensen can play left tackle in the NFL. And even though Rhule earned criticism for occupying “arms-too-short island,’‘ he may have been right about what is best for Christensen’s future. It’s unlikely he develops into a Pro Bowl-caliber tackle. Combine that with the Panthers’ chances of drafting a blue-chip tackle and it’s clear deploying Christensen at guard best maximizes Carolina’s resources. Playing Christensen beside Moton creates a stonewall right side. Pairing him with Neal or Ekwonu would do the same on the left. Credit Christensen for quickly becoming a reliable starter under questionable circumstances. His growth speaks volumes about his potential next season.

Ellis goes in depth in his analysis.

I agree. And if Christensen is your LT, I think #6 is down to two choices. QB or auction block. Take a QB or trade down.

Nah.  He cannot handle bull rushers and he has on occasion gotten his feet tripped up with sped guys.    Keep bc in your stable as someone that can fill in and then draft a stud at LT

Strength is the easiest thing to add at the NFL level. Not much you can do if you're not quick enough though.

He's 26.   If it hasn't happened yet I doubt it it does

You can’t add strength at 26? He has never had to worry about increasing it to this level being a LT at BYU. I think he is still capable of adding strength after his rookie season with a NFL professional trainer.

No bigger mistake could be made than drafting a QB to this team in this draft.  No immediate starters in this draft.

We aren’t winning anything next year. We don’t need an “immediate starter” but honestly half of them would be playing better than Sam by the end if they year.

    • I don't think so. I think once you're measuring electronically, the spot is where the sensor says it is. So if it says half yard short of the line to gain, that's the spot. Now how that works with scrums and the ball moving on two minute drills and poo is anybody's guess.
