How did you come up with that opinion?? What part of Bieniemy's coaching career says he sucks??

To play devil's advocate, what part of his experience makes one think he'll be a good head coach? Reid has always had good offenses and none of his OCs have been particularly good, so that doesn't seem particularly compelling.

Agree a mutual termination with Rhule on the proviso that if he gets the Michigan job the remainder of his contract with us is null and void, but if he doesn't get the Michigan job then we come to agreement on a payout. Then either hire a new head coach or place McAdoo in charge on an interim basis.

Interesting idea 🤔

How else would you judge a candidate other than the product he has put on the field?

Here's a wild scenario for you...

Because of the lawsuit from Brian Flores, the NFL forces Stephen Ross to sell the Dolphins.

David Tepper, whose primary residence is in Florida, decides he'd rather own the Dolphins than the Panthers.

Thus, Tepper buys the Dolphins and sells the Panthers.

No it's not going to happen, but it's fun to think about 😆

Since we're looking at getting rid of negative influences...

Maybe we can get Tepper to buy the Broncos and sell the Panthers? 🤔

Buy the Panthers. Give Teddy a big contract then trade him to the Broncos. Then buy the Broncos and have the Panthers pay Teddy’s contract. That is quite the master plan.

What is that product with respect to Bieniemy? He's not ultimately fully responsible for the offense and there is decades of evidence showing that a good offense under Reid is effectively coordinator-agnostic, almost always in the top 10 regardless of who is coordinating it.

Vegas odds

  • Michigan offensive coordinator Josh Gattis +300
  • Alabama offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien +400
  • Iowa State head coach Matt Campbell +500
  • Michigan running backs coach Mike Hart +700
  • Minnesota head coach PJ Fleck +1000
  • Carolina Panthers head coach Matt Rhule +1500

doesn't sound like Rhule tops any list.  Just a random name thrown onto a list to give the perception Mich is looking into the NFL.

Flores is a good coach, but come on ... the amount of stress he'll be going through, with media attention, the lawsuit, question after question ... plus getting games ready? No thanks. He would have a very hard season.

The Dolphins managed to field a good defense under his tenure, but their offense was below average and there was little sign that they knew how to develop a quarterback. Heck, they even tried to reinvent the wheel by hiring co-offensive coordinators. The only way Flores works out as a head coach is if he found a strong offensive coordinator, which is something he did not do with the Dolphins, and his indecision left them having co-offensive coordinators. Personally I'd look elsewhere for a head coach because of Flores' failures on the offensive side.
