Receiver Coach hire

to my knowledge he's never played or coached in the NFL, giddy up. first time for everything.

started as a QB in college and then switched to WR to finish up his career (at UNC I think).

he's been an OC and QB coach at the collegiate level, so I do think he's a coach on the rise to some extent. good reports about the performance of his WR at BC this past year, with many setting career highs in catches. that could be the result of a new offensive philosophy as much as anything.

at any rate, welcome aboard.

I worked under Dailey as an intern in college for a few years. He’s a very intelligent coach, this is a good hire regardless of his lack of NFL experience.

Mike Minter and UNC legend Carl Torbush were also on staff during my time under Dailey.

I wouldn't say I'm against it. I am kinda surprised by it.

Starting to wonder if Adam Henry is a world class a--hole or something. I doubt anyone would disagree that the Cowboys receivers were well coached under him, but nobody seems to want him (the Cowboys included).

It certainly is an out of left field hire but I think it could pay dividends. At the very least Dailey will be well liked and respected, hopefully that transitions to success for our WR’s.

Wow, good find by Joe. Glad this is a McAdoo decision. He’s getting that staff ready for his inevitable takeover in week 5.

Yup, picking some guys in a somewhat strategic manner. I was worried he was going to be a random Rhule college buddy hire. At least Mcadoo has some legit NFL connections to use for building his staff. I think Rhule has already hired and/or fired everyone he knows

    • it's pretty simple IMO.  The Tepper Panthers are the most unsuccessful professional sports in all of sports.  The problem isn't the posters here have changed.  The product dictates the atmosphere more than anything.  In reality, the daily convos about THE worst team in all of pro sports on a fanatics site....is going to feature harsh and critical convo.  Only one entity can actually change that.  It's the Carolina Panthers football team.
    • Yes message boards will always include that sort of stuff… However, this place has been a cess pool since the team took Bryce Young over CJ Stroud. It becomes a problem when it is accepted and promoted, which it has been here (even by at least one mod). Many posters sole purpose on this board is to try to dunk on others for having different opinions. We just had one write a novella on how talking about Bryce Young’s game winning drives “needs to stop”…after a win. They don’t want real conversation. It “needs to stop”. There are many posters here who literally only show up after losses to dead thread and try to dunk on others about the QB (MRenshaw is an easy example). I really don’t see much of that happening the other way around. There’s too many people that would rather the team be bad so they can feel justified for constant doom and gloom and negative opinions. It’s been pointed out by many over the past couple years. This just isn’t a place to have football discussions anymore because of the constant hyperbole. If you don’t subscribe to “Bryce Young is the worst QB ever who can’t throw the ball further than 5 yards and is the reason why we lose any game we lose and doesn’t help in any game we win”, then you are labeled a Bryce Young Stan.
    • if you believe he is watching every NFL game.....every week.....go right ahead.  I get it, he said something you like.  But that's like believing the talking heads on the ESPN shows are watching all the games.  You think Stephen A is watching the Panthers every Sunday too?  If Stephen A needs to go on First Take he certainly can pretend like he has watched every snap any player on the roster has taken lol.   No one is that isn't a Panther fan has been watching the 9-25 career go down every Sunday.  Or even a lot of Sunday's.  You know who knows more about Bryce Young than Long? The collective huddle.  What they are reviewing is stat sheets, highlights and in summaries.  It's an old formula lol.
