Your solution for the QB situation?

I saw a tweet by someone we all appreciate and it got me thinking of what might be our realistic options to address the QB position.

Lets assume sticking with Darnold isn't an option.  I just don't see Rhule hitching his job to him.

How are you hoping we address the QB situation this year.  I'll add some specifics to the trades and a few extra choices to the above tweet:

1.  Deshaun Watson for at least three 1st round picks?

2.  Jimmy G for this years 5th and next years 2nd + LT@6

3.  Kenny Pickett at 6, BC at LT, maybe FA guard.

4.  Willis at 6, BC at LT, maybe FA guard.

5.  FA QB (Mariota, Minshew, Winston, ETC) + LT@6

6.  Trade down to around 15, draft QB (Howell, Ridder, or Correl), use newly acquired 2nd round pick on an IOL, and let BC play LT.

Fix the O-Line and roll with Sam this year. Then re-evaluate and adjust.

The QB situation won't be resolved this season, and I'm terrified by the prospect of us trying way too hard to do so.

Keep Darnold... Let next coach choose...

Nothing this season.  Next offseason is when they should go all in on someone, assuming we have a new regime. This current crew will just screw it up anyway so I'm with standing pat.

Do you really think a coach that is on the hot seat is going to put his future into Sam's hands?

Although a lot of us would like that option there is a reason that I specifically said it wasn't an option for this post.

So what route are you going?

As of right now there are no good routes. Feels like we are equally screwed no matter what we do.
The most positive would be to get an OL at 6. Get a vet to compete with Darnold. Trade away the farm to build for the future and brace for a very bad 2022 season.
Unfortunately Rhule doesn’t have the luxury to do any of that. So we will probably do a lot of dumbass win now decisions.
I like Malik Willis and if Rhule wasn’t here I would love him as a project.
I don’t trust Rhule.

Well then you weren't really asking, "Your solution for the QB situation?" then, were you?

You asked what I would do, not Rhule. What he will do is fu k it up worse than it is now.

    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
    • Didn’t get around to watching this one but looks like Pistons played their starters and actually tried…? Unlucky that they sit vs Magic, etc and try vs us. Hopefully we can beat the Heat and then Magic or 6ers with no Embiid. BUT if not, the NBA really should give us the lottery win this year like they did Mavs last year. Another high pick could be our final missing piece and have us as legit top contenders next year and going forward if we’re healthy. Or trade it for a Giannis type
