The NBA is a very, very different game.  One player can easily make a much bigger impact there.

Agree but while one player can make a bigger impact, a swing and a miss on a high draft pick can be devastating. And if there is one position in the NFL that can have close to that significant of an impact it's QB.

Same dude.

Hear me out here though. Keep Darnold, sign Matt Ryan for cheap (he would be pissed and want to fug up ATL), and draft Willis. We're going to suck anyway. Why not make it entertaining?

Keeping Darnold is gonna happen anyway, no one wants him. Getting Ryan would never happen, I doubt he wants to come to this dumpster fire and drafting Willis would only make sense with a quality veteran starter. It would make far, far less dense with a 6th round pick. More like a 2nd or 3rd round pick in that scenario.

We aren't the team nor the scenario for Willis.

If the Saints got Malik Willis I would personally be very concerned.  Go get this dude

That a little on the lines of my thinking.  We are rebuilding our OL and have a better OC with McAdoo. Willis is a talent that can be molded into a franchise QB.  We are building the weapons/talent to help him develop.  If he goes to the Saints/Steelers everyone will expect him to be great.  I think he can be great here as well.

    • He was so much fun to watch as a player but is a prototypical example of the old "never meet your heroes" adage. Great player, not a great guy.
    • Look.... if us BY "haters" give credit about his GWDs...... Will the BY stans also have honest discussion about the 55minutes before the last 5 in which BY has put up 9/20 for 78 yards 0 TDs???
    • The way they are handling now is how they should have handled it from the start instead of that you get a series, you a get a series. Let Chuba spell until he had some of his step back.  We definitely could have put a better showing against Buffalo and their weak run defense had we employed the same game plan we did against Green Bay. Saints were determined to stop the run and make Bryce beat them, Atlanta had similar plan and the coaches and Bryce were able to respond.  Rico although didnt have the best rushing game was vital in the passing game and his catch and run help get us into the redzone there at the end of regulation probably should have been a touchdown that out of bounds was a judgement call it wasn't conclusive and thus should have went with the original call on the field.  Roco brings that dawg to the offense that it shorely lacked up until Miami game. Interesting it was his call that help seal the win for us, glad the coaches were listening. Hope they can get a deal done and run it back next year.
