Trade Down for Ridder?

What is Ridder really good at doing?  Arm?  Athleticism?  Accuracy? Everything is so average, even compared to Pickett.  Sorry I don’t see anything at all that tells me he is a starting QB in the NFL.  He didn’t really play well against anyone except maybe Notre Dame.  His accuracy dropped big time against good defenses.  He isn’t good.

It felt like while I was watching him that everything was scripted to work in his favor…and even then he was average.  He won’t make it maybe even as a backup.

Pickett has 1 game winning drive and 5 losses in the last 2 seasons. Not a good ratio given his opportunities. He is not good throwing to the left side of the field. Great at throwing mid to right. Not a QB that will survive against NFL defenses.

I like Ridder. He’s who I’d roll the dice with. I could stomach a trade down in the late teens-twenties which adds us a second. We take a middle linebacker or guard/center in the first; then Ridder in the second.

if we bomb out and draft high next year, we take our qb and have lost very little other than a wasted second round pick

I would be absolutely confused if we drafted Ridder in the 1st round.

Willis I like from an upside potential.

If McAdoo likes Pickett then I'm behind him. Hell, I am almost always wrong about QBs especially in the draft, so the fact I don't want Pickett may be a good thing for him if we do draft him 😛

    • The lack of discipline has seriously been our downfall the last month. Seems like we just went off course this last month and Lee won't address it. You can't just live and die by the 3 when you can attack the paint and at worst draw a foul
    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
