Right!? I like Horn a lot he is going to be a stud and you can tell he is a student of the game. But at the end of the day he is still just a corner. As good as he will be he can only do so much if our offense is doing what it's always done which is go 3 and out. It just boggles the mind that we would go corner last year when QB and LT have been the biggest looming voids and are currently two of the most sought positions. It is not hyperbole to say we have only further delayed this rebuild with an all defense draft and back to back 1sts on defense. Now some of us are ready to engage in fisticuffs over which to draft QB or LT

My main issue Is the man who’s responsible is still employed. Gross incompetence like this is hardly tolerable. I hope it doesn’t set a precedent….oh wait the same owner kept Hurney…

His money is painful, but are we really going to get rid of a "young player" just to get it off the books?  They made a bad move, gotta live with the consequences instead of continuing to compound it with more dumb moves.  It seems like they are determined to poo away this surprisingly good offseason with foolishness.  ie: trading a player to dump Sam's money or drafting a qb at 6.

to be fair, we don't know what kind of movement has been going on behind the scenes or what kind of stuff us in the works.  just because a blue checkmark isnt saying something is happening doesn't mean something isnt in the works.

I don't get the moves this offseason if we draft a QB. Darnold & PJ are the only QB on the roster.

Well, I agree.  I speculated in my other reply to snake, that I can't fathom what we would need the cap space for unless they are working on a trade for another established QB before the draft...  I also mentioned how Fitt said our plan last year was to always fill our needs in FA so when the draft comes around we can just draft BPA.  And then, even with the current cap space we have, we could still sign a guy like Clowney, re-sign Gilly, etc., so the only reason it makes sense to get Darnold off the books immediately is if we are trying absorb a bigger contract...  the only guy I can think of that would be worth that, IMO, who was rumored to be available at various times the last two seasons is Derek Carr.  If we trade for him, I will cream my effing pants.

1. Howell

2. Corral

3. Willis

Those are the only QBs I'd consider drafting in the 1st.
