At least we are good at something in the Tepper era.

I mean, in fairness because this isn’t about coaches and owners…..but the Panther social media really became a big deal at some point in the Ron era.    I’m sure that group really deserves a lot of the praise for its present day standing.

Think there was a thread a couple months ago on the young lady leaving that pretty much spearheaded that window.

Because of the Watson poo earlier... Damn y'all got short memories...

Nah.  Panthers Twitter and social media became legendary during the Ron era.   Best in professional sports for a window.

No matter what was going down they were always ready with great material.   They would troll folks.  Destroy teams.  Funny memes.  You name it.  It’s wasn’t run of the mill Panther info.  It was entertaining.

Is the number of twitter follows connected to our social media team? I don't use social media because it sucks but I thought people followed people because they liked them. How does our SM team create more followers exactly?

Serious question. Not trying to be a wise guy. I honestly don't know how that works. I do know that we are a lot of peoples "other" team so I thought that was why.

The Panthers social media team puts out entertaining content on twitter, regardless of if you're actually a fan of the team. If you follow the team then their content will show up on your timeline/feed. If you don't follow them it won't show up unless you go to their page specifically.

Nah, we benefit from not being hated by fans from most teams. We're actually the "2nd team" for a lot of AFC fans. I know a lot of people who "follow" us as their other team. We're one of the newest teams so there's little bad history with other teams and we've been somewhat competitive for half our existence. We're similar to the AFC's Chargers or Bengals. It's hard to find people who hate one of those teams because why should you?

Did you see the schedule release video? I follow the Panthers as well as the Niners, Ravens, and Vikings on Instagram and there's a clear difference. What you're Saying is probably true but also, the Panthers social media team is objectively good.

Don't use social media so don't know much about that other than the draft video they did last season. I thought that was fantastic. Was that our social media team? That was great. I was hoping for another one this year.

Trust me, they're better than most. The Chargers had the best schedule reveal video but Panthers was easily top five. And they do a good job year round, as well

I thought the reveal was a tad weak this year but their standard is super high

    • What's wrong with Damien Lewis? He played pretty well last year.
    • Official NFL Cuts Tracker Deadline for roster cuts is Tuesday, August 26th. At this moment (Friday, August 22nd) the only interesting names I see are... K Caden Davis (BUF) RB Ameer Abdullah (SF) WR Equanimeous St. Brown (SF) WR Donovan Peoples-Jones (NO) LB Khaleke Hudson (TEN) Abdullah, St. Brown, Peoples-Jones I don't exactly think we should cut anybody for but it was just interesting seeing those names. Khaleke Hudson was on the Panthers' practice squad last year I believe and might have even gotten called up? And of course, Caden Davis just because of the question mark at kicker this season for the team.
    • I'll say 6/10. I don't know that we learned a whole lot about this team during preseason that we didn't already know. We didn't play the starters enough to really get a feel for what to expect. We had one good drive against the Browns, one 3-and-out and two 3-and-outs against the Texans. That's an extremely small sample size across 3 games regardless of performance. My camp/preseason takeaways: Jalen Coker might be the best WR on this team and is certainly no worse than #2. Nic Scourton is going to be a good player for us. Possibly very good. Bobby Brown was our best free agent addition. Jack Plummer isn't an NFL QB. Not even a practice squad guy. Having anyone other than Canales and Evero call plays was a really stupid and pointless idea. Our depth is largely non-existent, especially on defense. The three areas we actually DO have depth are on the OL, in the WR corp. and at RB. I can't fathom why Dan Morgan didn't do more to upgrade ILB during the offseason. We better hope Lathan Ransom steps up at FS because if he doesn't we have a massive hole. For all the hype surrounding Sanders/Evans, Tommy Tremble is still the best TE on the roster. I'm only slightly less enthusiastic going into the regular season than I was a month ago. I think our starters on offense are solid and we should be pretty good there unless Bryce totally regresses. On defense, we're probably bottom 3rd in the league if 100% healthy and significantly worse than that if injuries become an issue. We badly need at least two of our rookies to become high-level players early (ideally one of the pass rushers + Ransom) and at least 2 of our free agent additions (ideally Moehrig + Bobby Brown) to be significant upgrades over last year. Call me pessimistically optimistic 😆
