IMO, this is the best roster we have had is a long while. Quality QB play would put us in the competitive bracket. I like Corall, and am hopeful he can rise to the occasion. Because if he can, we can be something.

We're still young and anything can happen.  Quality QB play will improve the team tremendously BUT. we still have a weak head coach in rhule.

This is an 8-9 win team with competent Corral QBing and, among other variables, Rivera as coach (especially considering that aside from Donte Jackson, everyone who didn't see eye-to-eye with him is no longer here).

That's only taking into account personnel and Ron's coaching strategy. But with Rhule, to whom history will be very unkind, 9 wins is a pipe dream.

It's tough to say this roster is "ready to go" when the NFL world considers it to comprise the worst team in the league.

they must not know that we got THE Ben McAdoo now.

From the athletic:

Panthers Under 5.5 (plus 115)

The Panthers improved their offensive line. Too bad Sam Darnold is still the QB. There is still some question as to whether Matt Rhule knows what he is doing, which is not ideal in Year 3. They have a shot thanks to their friendly schedule, but if they don’t split their first four games against the Browns, Giants, Saints and Cardinals, or sweep the Falcons, they are in big, big trouble

Vegas knows what they are doing.  That line is perfect.  I wouldn't know what do with it.  Gut says 6 wins though.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
