TJ Watt, Nick Bosa, Khalil Mack, and Max Crosby weigh less or the same as BB.

6 of the top 8 pass rushers in the NFL weigh the same or less than BB.

Nick Bosa and Khalil Mack are power ends that play at 270+ lbs.  They are definitely not lighter than Brian Burns.  Myles Garrett and Joey Bosa are also guys that play 270 or heavier.

There are alot guys like Von Miller who have had great careers around Brian Burns weight or lower.  Robert Mathis, Dwight Freeney and Elvis Dumervill were also in that range.

I would have had Brian Burns binge watching Jason Taylor game film this off-season like it was the latest hot Netflix series. He's built like him and has a similar physical tool set. The ideal version of Brian Burns looks a lot like Jason Taylor.

A lot of times players weights never get updated through their careers. Jenkins was always 330 even when he was tipping over golf carts at four bills. Smitty was always listed at 185 even though he was quite obviously in the 200 range based on his clear weight gain from his rookie season.

The Cardinals have admitted he's been as high as 280... which probably means he's flirted with 300. 😂

He’s never been up to 280 (only showed up to camp at 280 and out of shape once).

Most he’s ever got up to (playing) was around 270.  But he’s always been around 255-260.

I just love all the people when people complain Burns is too small.  But when it’s pointed out most of the leagues top edge rushers are around the same size.  They always try to spin it with some excuse.

If it was listed at 135 LBs would you buy that? Much like college these numbers are done either by a intern or coaching staff. Combine weight is most right, but these guys move all over daily. I was in strength sports and checking my weight daily- lost 18 pounds one day. Normally days around 8-10 and I wasnt doing insane stuff. At the combine I did hear Will Witherspoon drink like 2 gallons of water to get a bigger number as well(i think he hit 217). So it can go the other way as well. I think they change the weigh-ins tho, now they are done before you run to cut out some of the games...

Minus Von Miller, I doubt any elite DE is 255 or lower come morning. After a long practice in 95 95 heat/hum sure...

Chandler Jones doesn't play at 255.  I'm sorry that there is an entire "thing" that websites do with weight that you were not aware of.

    • We need a Sam Off Ball Backer to pair with Lloyd. Lloyd is a strong Interior Will especially in Pass Coverage- but that is also Trevin Wallace’s archetype. Need a Rozeboom style run stopper. Rodriguez and Allen fit that
    • There aren’t that many ways to screw Day 2 up.  That’d be them making an obvious reach, or selecting at one of the few positions that we are pretty solid at. Because as excited as we are for the growth and improvement this team is showing, it’s still not an overly talented or deep roster. Honestly, there aren’t really many positions I’d feel bad about. Feelings about Bryce aside (because we are not going to select a QB), it’s really RB (bad positional value) and that’s it. I guess OT too since we grabbed Freeling in Round 1.    While not as high on my wish list as other spots, you can justify WR or TE.     Interior offensive lineman who would likely take over an interior spot either this year (at center) or guard (next for cap casualty of Hunt or Lewis)? Fine by me.   Dlineman? Yes, that’s a highly rotational position and we have zero quality depth.    ILB? Yep, could stand for an upgrade over Wallace.    EDGE? Absolutely wouldn’t hate another option to spell Phillips, Scourton, and Princely.    FS?  Would love to add better coverage skill set to the backend of the defense. Moehrig and Ransom are great in run support but not as good deep. Adding a more traditional FS would allow us to mix and match/run some 3 safety sub packages and or a big nickel type look with a SS down near the line for better run support in possible pass downs.    CB? Could stand to get better at nickel.
    • Sounds like Veesaar is entering the draft. He could always test the waters and pull out and return but without him our big men look like a serious liability. Better do something in the portal. If they don't do something about this portal madness my days as a college sports fan are probably numbered. This bullshit of having a nearly entirely new team every season is gonna get old fast.
