Guess we'll see.  We haven't made any major upgrades on D and we lost arguably one of if not the best player in Reddick.  Stephan for Horn should cancel to some extent.

Using your logic our D should be bottom 3rd in points again.

We will. I never said it was a terrible D just not top 10 like some stand by. It doesn't hold up. My criticism was the run game side and if Snow would adapt it or force it like I fear. That's it.

IDK, the O was so bad but the D had it's issues. We also had a much easier schedule last year and our QB situation is not solved by any means. I would be thrilled to see the D vastly improve I just am skeptical on Snows scheme from last year which would look great in school and average in the NFL...just my opinion. Huge fan of where the DBs should play under Wilks and Chinn at SS this year.

Woods will help a lot IMO.  He lets Chinn become more of a box SS when needed which is like upgrading two positions for one player.  I think Littleton and Wilson are both upgrades at the LB spot as well which will help our run defense.  Reddick was a great pass rusher, but having him and Burns on the field at once really hurt our run defense.  Hopefully YGM starts opposite of Burns and helps our run defense.  Ioaninidis could he a solid pick up at the DT sport as well, because Jones was a disappointment last year.  I see FS Woods, MLB Wilson, SLB Littleton, RDT Ioanidis, RDE YGM as 5 new starters (yes YGM played last year, but was limited behind Reddick and with injuries) and Chinn getting to play his more natural position. If you include Horn we have nearly as many new starters and repeat from last year.

Haynes is ready to be in a real rotation next year. He is a solid pass rusher, and he’s already proven that. Great to have guys like Haynes in backup roles.

In spot duty, his impact is felt for sure. When he was coming out of college and I learned he broke the Ole Miss sack record (which was held by Greg Hardy iirc) I knew eventhough he was a bit undersized he would make his presence known here.

He just needs more playing time. Going to need him to develop his run defense but I was happy to hear he resigned.

Luvu and Haynes should make a nice rotation. Both have a non stop motor.

Bonus: Neither of the above have peaked.

Luvu though..... Wouldnt suprise me at all if he was top 15 in impact on limited snaps from what I saw last year. He was literally everywhere.

    • Not in same league. Caldwell just hit a 10.00 on the RAS. 2nd out of 3830 from 1987 onward.  https://x.com/MathBomb/status/2027885023387349047 Yeah I mean Louis had a sub 9.00 RAS. Still very very good, no doubt. Louis is small, no 2 ways about it. He is likely a sub package lb in nickel packages or specialized WLB. Be fine ST gunner to start for sure. 6 foot flat and 220lb is pushing it for a starting LB. At 10 to 20lbs less than the other LBs he'd better be closer to the top in most timed drills. He's gonna be challenged when some of the wrs in the class can matchup bigger stronger faster, much less TE in the run game.  Yeah instinct matter and he has them, but that size is a massive red flag compared to many of the other LBS in this class.    Rodriguez is the LB that really climbed this week from a pure grit guy to great flash with athleticism people wrote off cause he was a QB at first at UVA. 18.4mph in the backpedal. Production the last 2 years were great. I'd be thrilled with him as the future mike.   Hill likely moved out of 51 and into the top 45 picks ( Ravens at 45 I can't imagine don't bite if he makes it there). Honestly Hill imo is a 1st rounder and I'd be ok with him as he fits the MLB we have missed the last few years. People would crow it's a reach but he's top 30 all-time I'm RAS for a LB at 9.9+ . Plus he was big time in big games when he was healthy. And that br a big check: meds.
    • Miller, Melo, Coby, Moose, and Bridges all on the floor at the same time must be a nightmare for defenses lol. Switch one out for Kon and still a nightmare. Coby really does bring a true 6th man value and looks like he could start if Melo was out after only a few games of getting his feet wet.
    • Well I guess he should stop playing football. This was his defining moment and chance to prove he was generational and he failed. What a waste of football life..
