"Buying in" is a big theme of today talking with Christian McCaffrey, Frankie Luvu and Shaq Thompson.

Team building activities – like last week's #PanthersGames, golf outings with Rhule – have helped build chemistry after tough years of covid-related disruptions.

Frankie Luvu's up here today talking about how he's more of an energetic leader than a talker...

Christian McCaffrey says "everyone's talented" in the Panthers' running back room. There are fast guys, strong guys, patient guys...

"The diversity of talent is exciting."

Panthers LB Shaq Thompson on the offseason and the level of participation: “A lot of guys have bought in."

Dude(Terrace) has the potential,  just needs the reps!! The Baker thing is something  I have been meh about but he does have chemistry  with Higgins. Some can pooh all they want but the truth is the truth. I think mentally Robby is wanting to force his way out but a few people don't want to believe it.

I'm buying in on Marshall.  If he can stay healthy he has all the tools.  CMC is always going to say the right things but he brought up his name.

Exactly  @ForJimmy!!! For him to mention him, it definitely  has had to stand out. I think he even means the stuff he does in  training. Hope he pans out!!!

Matt Rhule on Sam Darnold: "I thought he was good today,'' That's not as good as last week when  he used the word "outstanding.''

Bradley Bozeman, who wasn't here at minicamp today, didn't feel well today. Rhule said it was non-Covid.

Matt Rhule said having vets such as Christian McCaffrey and Shaq Thompson take on more of a coach's role today was good to give them a different perspective.

He didn't show much that much in limited time. He strikes me as a project without a clear landing spot.

I will point out that Mike Wahle looked at some tape(older 4 Man Rush podcast) and came away with largely the opinion that the gulf was noticeable between him becoming a quality NFL OL and where he was last year. He didn't seem to be too enthusiastic about his prospects.

I don't have high hopes for BC either (or anyone raw that is coached by rhule), but at least we do have improved coaching on the OL overall that could see some benefits.

I'd be happy with "excellent depth" but think he could be better than that. Just hard to get hopes up for any young player on this team...

Agreed. I'd like to see Brady Christensen and Ickey Ekwonu ball out this season.

    • this     I never cease to be amazed at the number of people who will run up their blood pressure to get to the grocery store 30 seconds faster or are racing to get to work like it won’t be there at 8:02.   The only thing I’ve ever done that I think added more years to my life besides quitting smoking, was to learn to go with the flow behind the wheel.
    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
