Why is it pointless?? If Baker that bad that he can't beat out Sam in practice.. He doesn't deserve to be on the field either..

Make these motherfugers work for there jobs and careers and see who comes out on top.. what is the problem with that??

Because how Sam looks in practice isn’t going to be how he plays in a live game. I don’t think it matters because we wouldn’t have made this trade if we planned on playing Sam.

Let them compete..

Make them work for the opportunity.. May the best man win..

Go from there...

The fantasy is Corral beats them both.. Like Wilson did Flynn and Jackson in Seattle.. But again that is a hope not something you can bet on happening..

Then Corral will beat him camp.  If Corral can't beat wrong way Darnold in camp (who didn't even look good in camp last year), then he's not ready to be the backup.

Sam looked decent in camp. He has the tools and if he knows the exact script he can look the part. The problems arise when he doesn’t know what the defenses are doing (which happens a lot). We know how both players play in real games which is all that matters.

The fact that Cam looked rocky in Pre season and still was day 1 starter proves it wasn't a "true" competition from the beginning..

You just posted a bunch of BS and prove my point..

Thanks ..

Lmao

😂

Are you off your meds again?

You're relatively normal for awhile but you always eventually fly off the rails again and when you do you seem to forget what your were actually arguing in the first place. Pure emotion.

How do you know??

Actions speak louder then words and this team literally held sam out most a pre season to hide him last year..

Where has it been said that Sam is some practice god.. Most reports say Sam is up and down in practice like he is in games.

And How do you know Baker isn't a great practice player??

Ppl need to stop making up narratives for no reason..

Competition is a good thing..

Having pressure to get better is a good thing..

Having to work for your job is a good thing..

Giving away jobs and opportunities based on nothing is bad and why ppl are pussy today..

I guess it depends on what you call decent.  If you count a bunch of ints and blocked passes decent.  The O was having trouble moving the ball.

I'm not worried.  Corral will pass him when he's ready, yes even in camp or practice.  Sam is a low low bar.  They are not giving him the benefit of the doubt.  They did that last year.

We have seen both players play as starting QBs in this league. It’s pointless to see who practices better. Say we acquired Stafford last year (extreme case obviously). Are we going to let PJ Walker start over him if he lights up practice? Baker is an established starter and Sam has established himself as not fit to start. He can light up practice but will see ghosts when the real game starts.

Are you.. Or your doing the Linville thing arguing just to argue for board praise??

Literally nothing you said was true..

Jake and Wenikie weren't in no competition..

Cam and Pickles weren't in no competition..

Both times the coach had their guy they wanted to start.. And that guy ended up starting..

Slaughtering the English language and logic at the same time.

Our OC (at the time) though he did great and unfortunately their opinions matter a lot more than ours…

Sucks he’s getting paid $19m this season but Darnold is a competent backup QB. Could come in and win a couple games for you if your starter goes down. No reason to cut him unless some other team wants to take that $18m off the books for nothing

    • 5 straight completions in the 4th quarter to get into the red zone and then score a stand up rushing TD and celly in one of the best defenses faces to bring the score within 1 possession against the super bowl champs is "stunned" to you?
    • yes, if you read what I said - that was due to his record breaking 245 yard 4th quarter performance in garbage time when the Seahawks were already celebrating. If Bryce puts up big numbers in the 4th quarter, people like you are quick to call it garbage time stats but seem to get selective when other QB's do it because it doesn't fit your narrative.  also, I'm logical enough to admit that Drake is a great QB and his performance had a lot to do with his protection, play calling, and other aspects. The game does not fall completely on the QB. Just like how the Panthers were still in the game vs Seattle until Horn's penalty changed that. It is a team sport, so many factors, players, refs, coaches are involved and it only takes one thing to change the game. the obsession with Bryce is just nauseating at this point and if you pay attention on here, it's the same 10 users quoting and pieing each other. it's super weird and everywhere else you go, opinions on Bryce are trending upwards. the way the season ended, the vibe at the stadium, the performance, should have everyone excited about this next season. Idk, maybe I just look at life and my entertainment outlets differently than others.
    • Are we sure something hasnt happened to him because that seems pretty shitty to simply abandon this place
