Going off what 'm reading right now, I wouldn't bet on it.

The Players Association didn't appeal the six game suspension so that stands. The next battle will be over whether he's suspended longer.

No, zero chance. NFL is trying to make the suspension longer. Watson wasn't fighting 6 games. NFL may not get their wish of more than 6 games but it's not going to backfire so far as him playing week 1.

 The NFLPA agreed on this policy, so if they didn't appeal the initial suspension i think they'd have a hard time arguing against the increased number of games.

The appeal goes to Goodell, who will likely move fast to increase the suspension to a full year.

The NFL isn't appealing the games, but the idea that Watson cannot seek private massage therapy anymore. They're looking out for their player's best interests!

Zeke did get to play after taking his suspension to a federal judge, didn't start serving his suspension til week 10 of 2017. Not sure why the exempt list didn't come into play

The difference from what I understand is Watson wouldn't be appealing the suspension in court, but the idea of raising it from 6 games.

I doubt Watson gets the Brady QB treatment if he somehow plays when appealing his suspension so that should be fun in week 1 in our house. Chinn said he is ready today lol

From my understanding, Watson can sue and try to get an injunction, which would let him play.

However, Goodell still can put Watson on the commissioners exempt list and he would not be able to touch a field. 

That's my understanding, but it's all pretty murky.

Zeke got to play after he sued the NFL, Adrian Peterson didn't get to play because he lost his appeal while waiting for his domestic court date. Could go either way depending on the federal judge
