You don't trade up in the 3rd when you're lacking picks to draft a project.  They had a 1st round grade on the guy and thought it was a steal.  The Dolphins took a guy in the 7th that looks better.

Why not?? You didn't give up much and again it's a young QB with alot of raw talent...

You wouldn't be saying this poo if we had gotten Malik would you??

Even if he looked bad due to low reps...

Yes, context. In NFL preseason play which is all we have on rookies right now, they look better. No one is trying to put them in the HOF.

Now add the fact that none of there teams is in a QB competition.. So those rookies are getting way more reps then Corral..

You're just conveniently ignoring that these guys look better than Corral.

No one was down on Corral until he took the field in the preseason and looked really bad.

Oh yes the preseason. I remember Ryan Leaf looked better than Peyton Manning in the preseason.

You'd have a point if every other rookie QB wasn't looking better so far.

Most other rookies are 2nd stringers on their team and playing with better talent/having better reps. Baker is our guy this year. Corral has a big learning curve from the Ole Miss RPO to an actual NFL offense.

-Pickett is competing for the starting job

-Titans typically carry 2 QBs and want Willis as their 2

-Ridder is competing for the starting job

-Howell is the number 2 and has a shot to take Wentz’s job

Look no further than how PJ looked in quarter 1 vs 3 to see what kind of talent Corral is working with.

He does look bad but there could be a reason.. He isn't getting the focus due to Baker and Sam...

But again it's just preseason.. And I'm not worried a 3rd round QB doesn't look great right away..

    • When you look closely at the play it was careless from Melo but bang bang full speed I don’t think it was intentional or dirty or deserving of a foul. Bam’s off balance momentum was already carrying him towards a fall and even if Melo didn’t touch him it may have had the exact same outcome. And honestly I think he did try to sell it more when he felt LaMelo’s hand. Dudes arms flopped back instead of bracing for the fall. Sucks he got hurt but a suspension would be ridiculous and an awful look for the league. Fine and move on
    • Sure but it literally would be benching him lol, and it would kill his confidence. He’ll get back in a rhythm, kid just had an all time great rookie season and led the league in 3s, you gotta stick with him as starter. But yeah I’m all for getting some more lineups throughout the game with Coby and Melo   and yeah Miles’ block and Coby and others jumping him in celebration was fuging epic
    • I would’ve used the timeout on that inbounds before the turnover and Melo’s late foul but yeah otherwise I can’t blame Lee, the players just didn’t execute as well as they should have, but obviously did enough to get it done
