Same injury as Cam. I freaking hate that stupid turf in New England.

It wasn't the turf by reports his big feet got stepped on.. But he had feet and leg injuries in college as well... He is just lite built and needed a season to bulk up under NFL physical training program..

What will be the reaction in the huddle when:::

we keep Baker, Sam, PJ goes to practice squad, and MC9 goes to IR for the year with these mysterious injuries we seem to have on cut down day (last year was Fletcher)

Ding ding ding …. We have a winner …. No more chances

I’m on the other side at this point. Corral is an extreme long shot at this point and Baker’s not a SB QB and Rhule isn’t a SB coach and Fitt isn’t a SB GM. We’ve seen Ron and Gettleman make it but we had a SB QB and Gettleman got enough hits in Turner, Norwell, Short, Star and Shaq to round out the team.

I feel like I’d rather clean the slate and get a solid rookie QB with huge upside and a better set of coaches and GM.

It should absolutely be winning record or bust for Rhule this year. Give me at least 9 wins or hit the bricks.

Corral may come back strong. He did not get many reps at all leading up to those 2 preseason games. He is an unknown at this point, but the strengths that made the Panthers draft him in the 3rd are still there. We will see.

As far as Baker, the QB he was 2 years ago was not far from getting his team to the big game. Sometimes new scenery and a system change can spark something. We have seen that before in QBs like Jake. I think if Baker turns out to be the fit that Jake was, we will all be happy. This year is the year for him to show it if he is, though. If not, a new coaching staff will start fresh.

    • What?!?!?! Chark's 1,000 yard season was 4 years before he played for us and he only had 525 yards in 15 games as our #1 WR.  Dude has 3,100 yards in 7 seasons, he's the literal definition of a JAG and you think he is better than half our current WR room? T-Mac is literally already better than Chark was at his peak, which again, was years before he ever even put on a Panthers uniform, and there is a real argument to be made that XL and Coker were both better as rookies than Chark was for us in his one season here.
    • Im glad we're starting low. It's nonsensical to put us at 28 IMHO based on objective things IMHO (I think 21-24) is far more appropriate but whatever. Washington was at the bottom last year FWIW.  In 2003, Sports Illustrated said our best chance to win the division was to transfer to the ACC. In 2015, everyone wrote us off as a team that snuck into the playoffs with a losing record in 2014 and lost our best WR in TC (Kelvin Benjamin). All these videos are fodder for conversation, but this prediction has no more validity than saying the Panthers are making the SB bc we're starting the season against the Jaguars again. If Bryce plays like he did down the stretch we will end up the season just fine. This roster is much better than it has been the last 2 seasons. No one knows who any season will ultimately end up, but this team is finally being built in the right way, and the idea that this roster can't compete this year is as insane as being it was when we were gaslit in 2023 that we were a rookie QB from winning the division with that roster.
