Well 2 things…

1.  This is a sports message board on the internet.  This is simply what has always happened and always will.

2.  People question Rhule.  And rightfully so.  Because no one thinks the micromanaging hot seat coach is going to defer everything to people he doesn’t know well with his job and reputation on the line.  Campen seems like a solid young coach. He also hasn’t held down a job anywhere for more than a year.  I doubt Rhule is like, whatever you think is best, I’ll be over here.

Yeah and I doubt Rhule is like “STFU James, yeah you’ve been coaching o-line for 20 years but I’M Matt motherfkin Rhule and I AM ALL-KNOWING” which is basically the scenario you and others paint when you throw out the word “micromanager” twenty thousand times to suggest Rhule is unilaterally making the lineup decisions. Otherwise you accept the reality, like most people, that Rhule uses Campen’s input to determine the o-line. It’s a joint decision and it’s VERY unlikely that there’s real dispute between the two as far as the basics like who deserves to start, who should be playing which position, etc.

And there are some of us rational fans who question the bitching all the time.. Especially when history shows that reps haven't determined much before as well..

I huddled more then most..

And 400 yards 3 it's later all those Clausen reps meant what exactly..

And still it wasn't this big of a conversation..

The great Matt Rhule said this weeks reps do matter.  He said, obviously, the more reps you get the better you play.  But I guess you know more than the professionals.

everything and anything has always been a big deal here.  It’s revisionist history IMO to act like this is something new.  And Rhule frankly has gotten it light….given this is the worst window in our existence compared to the bitching we did about a Fox or a Ron during different windows.

Nothing rational IMO about the Rhule diehards here at this stage.  It’s just the opposite end of the spectrum of what you bitch about.  Rational falls inbetween and doesn’t huddle lol.  IMO.

Again stop making narrative for ppl..

Because ppl don't complain about poo their not experts in doesn't mean they are Rhule ppl...

He said reps are important not that they determine the future of a player or team...

Context....

Context is Matt Rhule said reps do matter.   People obviously get better with them. He made that clear.

Please don’t second guess Matt Rhule on that fact.  He is a professional.

I've heard writers and talking heads on espn say it but i haven't heard actual former players take on Rhules QB battle

So 2 former NFL players think reps matter? Especially when you get a chance to practice against the Patriots defense? Seems like a good time not to waste the reps on college style position battles

How dare these guys question Rhule’s BS football competition.   Matt Rhule is a professional.

And Reality check:

What ppl thought was going to happen..

Is slowly happening as TC continues..

Baker getting more reps than Sam..

Ikey LT..

BC is slowly taking more 1 reps with the 1's at LG..

Nobody is being giving a job..

If no one is being given a job how did rhule arrive at the “starters” pre training camp? Was Michael Jordan not just handed LG1 on the depth chart? Certainly didn’t earn it last year

Are we still really talking about fake depth charts in TC after 20+ years of Panthers history?? Lmao

    • The last goal was awful luck the second was too tbh    Chatfield tipped #2 in. And Freddie lost an edge
    • No we don't, if anything, I'd argue that WR is one of the more set positions on the roster at this moment for this coming season. We traded for Johnson to see if he can be a long term guy for us and to give Bryce a #1 who knows how to get open, he's locked in as the #1. Thielen was a stud last year and is locked in as the starting slot They think enough of Legette that we traded into the 1st to get him, he's locked in as the other starting outside WR as of now. This is year 1 of a rebuild, the coaches basically need to find out what they have in Mingo by the end of the year, because of that, he's also locked in as our 4th option, any lower on the depth chart and we might as well just cut or trade him now or his next season is TMJ's from last year. Giving Coker that signing bonus means they are all but expecting to keep him on the initial 53 (now, if he gets IR'd the first time he gets a paper cut, that's a different story, but it doesn't change the final 53 cut down math). ISM looked solid in the returner role last year, so unless they like someone better than him during camp, he's also got a spot locked up. So unless they plan on keeping 7 WRs on the initial 53, they likely only are looking for camp bodies at WR at this point, not someone they expect/want to find their way into the final 53.  And even if they wanted to keep 7 on the roster, at best we'd be looking for our 5th option. Someone like Jones may be an option once we get to the final 53 and then they end up IR'ing Coker as I expect them to do.
    • That's why you don't declare a game over till its over, you jinxed us, Freddie randomly slipping on nothing is proof Jk, but seriously, in the playoffs no lead is safe
