By far? Good one lol. If we're ever that desperate just play Temple legend PJ Walker.

Steve Harvey Wow GIF by NBC

Darnold bashing aside, yes he would still be the best choice for our backup if you're going by performance.

If your priority is cap space, then you could go with Walker but you'd still have to find some way to get another team to take on some of Darnold's salary.

Pretty much nobody thinks that's happening.

That coach was like nope Baker get outta there. Meanwhile Sam is nowhere in sight

Wow.  That's ugly and hope the fan is okay, but ngl, I'm giving Daley a guaranteed roster spot just for suplexing a Patriot on his back.  That was for stealing our '03 Superbowl.🤣

Yeah apparently some fat woman suffered a bruised foot per ESPN

Also per Adam Schefter, the woman was morbidly obese

The point being if we have to turn to Sam we’re fuged anyway. Let the younger guys get the reps. Sam is on his 5th season and people are still waiting for his potential to turn into something. Most guys would have been thrown into backup roles already.

Even with $19 million in sunk costs, it's hard to argue with this. Sometimes you've just got to walk away from a deal that didn't pan out and consider it an educational expense.

    • I think i like the Oregon Safety better
    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
