Think Cordarrelle Patterson in terms of the way we'll likely use him.

Using mid round values:

Shenault was a 6th (21) + 7th (8.2) = 29.2

Daley was a 5th (34) - 7th(8.2) = 25.8

Shenault cost 3.4 more than Daley equivalent to  the 28th pick in the 7 round.

This trade is a basically swapping a 7th for a 5th and letting the Titans have a guy we were going to cut. Good trade there Fitterer.

Are you including the year of the pick as well? Each year away the pick is, it drops in value.

I believe all but one are 2024. The 7th for Laviska is a 2023 pick. If I am not mistaken.

Shenault gives the Panthers some much needed size over the middle. I am convinced that's why they traded for him.

He young (26) and has extensive experience and position flexibility (34 career games with 21 starts, left tackle (13 games), left guard (seven games) and right guard (one)

I wouldn't have bet on flipping Dennis Daley for any compensation, let alone a 5th at the additional cost of a 7th.
