I thought it was a great, out of the box hire. Dude had been successful at two small programs, which is very difficult in the current college football landscape. And I liked the early ideas of bringing more college defense concepts to the nfl, since nfl offenses have been borrowing more and more college stuff.
 

but holy poo it has not translated at all to the nfl.

I thought it was worth a shot to make an outside the box hire for once.

But I did begin to worry once Rhule started putting his staff together and I had no idea Tepper would be so stubborn and stick with him despite all the evidence of him being in over his head.

Pretty much where I was and now I just want to move on. I saw the flaws last year in spades and realized that this isn't going to be getting any better.

As far as immediate reactions go his record in college was nothing to be impressed over 47-43 and a dismal record against ranked teams. To say he was "successful" at Temple and Baylor is with a grain of salt.

If you want a look at some visit this thread and look at all the excuses. But again silence today. Very fickle and fairweather.

 

They are a strange group. You can mention all the legit concerns and issues as to why you doubt the team will have success and they’ll twist everything to make you look like a bad and unsupportive fan. Then when the season happens and all those bad things become a reality they blame everything else. They even blame the fans who had those doubts and pull that “you just like rooting for the team to fail” crap instead of the problems created/not addressed by the staff that was originally the cause for concern lol.

The only way it’s gonna work out at this point is for Rhule to have one of the greatly come back success stories of all time. How likely is that ?

Appreciate you owning up to your stance at least.  Nostradamus would be overkill though, because the writing was on the wall from jump

No "buddy" you're mixing ppl wanting to watch good football from their favorite team and hoping for just that.. For some mystery entities that are backing Rhule!! I promise you unless they are Rhule family members in here.. There isn't many Rhule supporters here.. Being but hurt over ppl wanting to be optimistic before the poo show is your fault.. Be a better..

I think it’s clear from your anger that you supported Rhule even when the signs have been clear from the get-go.  That’s fine, and I’m glad you owned up to it.   I want to be optimistic too, but that’s legit nearly impossible, even though we have some decent players. It’s Rhule that is the issue, which I’m glad you now agree, “buddy”.

Pointed out the obvious path to disgrace during his first season.

I wanted Rivera to stay until a better option became available. I wanted McDermott to replace Rivera. I wanted Beane as GM in 2013.

So why are people saying he was successful? Because he squeaked by some bottom feeder programs? When the hire was made his record was one of the first things that didn't pass the smell test. But he was a hot flavor of the month name like other coaches have been over the years. When he basically begged the Giants to match our offer that was when we should have pulled the plug

Dude, please take a breath. I will always root for the panthers, even now that them winning could mean more Rhule….. And even if I were a Dunkin barista, (which fortunately or unfortunately I’m not), that “diss” speaks volumes about your character. Grow up, son.
