49ers are well coached.   That isn’t a game the Rhule staff is well suited for.

only coin flip games left are AZ, Atl, Sea and NO.   Everyone else will be rightfully favored to beat us.  And I suspect we will be favored to lose most of our coin flip games

49ers had that ugly loss to Denver too.... Shanahan did admit though that allowing a free rusher on their own one was a bad idea 🤣 Jimmy G was saved a pick 6 by not realizing he ran out of bounds for a safety.

We didn’t either.

we were down 3, had the ball, with 3 and half minutes and all 3 timeouts.   We couldn’t score.  Then we couldn’t stop the Giants.  And we basically had 4 timeouts when the Giants got the ball back.

and the Giants and Browns weren’t good teams

Ah I am going to say that the Browns are a solid team. Top 1/3 in the NFL, even with Jacoby behind center.

on the Cardinals board, a slight majority of their fans think the Panthers will win...most of the rest think it will be a toss up.  They are not a confident bunch.

More than likely a rain game from the aftermath of Hurricane Ian so that probably favors us. Their main back is James Conner who's gradually wearing down year after year.

I fully expect the niners to have 40+ carries for damn near 300 yards rushing

Top 1/3 teams don’t beat the Flacco Jets by 1 and the Panthers by FG at the end.

It is subjective, but the Panthers might not be as bad as they look. Any team with a strong running game, and good defensive pressure will be a force in the NFL. Garrett, Clowny and a Chubb are awesome pieces and they are dominant at their positions. Let’s see where the Browns finish but they look like contenders early on in the season. I know it is unpopular in this forum, but the Panthers are not that bad of a team. They make stupid and untimely mistakes but they are a dangerous team.

we are the definition of a bad team.  If we aren’t a bad team, bad teams don’t exist.

We haven’t won more than 5 games in years.  We currently have the 30th ranked O in an offensive/pass era league.   And we are now in year 3 of this “plan”.  And we only have beaten teams that have been in rebuild/tear down mode, debuting a rookie, injured or starting a backup since 2019.

there is really no metric to go to that would suggest we aren’t a bad team

What's crazy is that the CLE fanbase has been saying for years they are a SuperBowl caliber team that is a QB away (hence moving on from Mayfield).

If anything they've gotten better at WR, with Amari Cooper, and haven't lost anyone else really. Brisset is playing his best ball of his career through three games (though 2 near INTs in game 1 vs Panthers certainly have helped perceptions).

But still, Browns probably should be sitting at 1-2 with losses to Panthers and Jets.

49ers are a vulnerable team on the offensive side of the ball now with OL issues, no Trent Williams and Jimmy G being Jimmy G (and he didn't have the playbook this off season either).

The defense is top 3, I'd suspect. Maybe top top.

If Panthers can contain the run game and stop being soft in the middle of the field where JG is best, and he makes some of his customary bad decisions, with some INTs, the game could be a low scoring slugfest. Likely the first player, Deebo, or CMC, to rip off a big run wins the game -- if Rhule McAdoo don't abandon the run.

We are not a bad team, we have inept coaches making rediculous decisions. We have talent, just have the wrong OC, DC, and Head coach. We are constantly outcoached, and are unprepared almost every game.

Our two losses came against teams who are a combined 4-2 and we lost one of those due to some TERRIBLE officiating at the end.

Skip is an idiot but the other day he said that no team in the history of the nfl has ever lost two consecutive games by 57 yd field goals in the final seconds. Never.

I guess my point being is the giants and browns aren’t as bad as we originally thought and neither are we.

There is a lot better case to be made that we should be 3-0 right now and the Cardinals should be 0-3.

Lol

Pure delusion, this is  fake argument

honest question, do you watch NFL football outside of the panthers? Because if you did you’d know the team is easily bottom 1/3 if not 1/4 of the NFL.

They got worse at WR.   Landry/OBJ > Amari

I mean we are a bad team.  And coaching is a big part of why.  They are part of the team.

I don’t see how anyone can watch us and day we are a good team.

Don't agree.

Amari is a better receiver than the current or Cleveland version of OBJ. As well, Cooper is an elite route runner, and perfectly suited to Stefanski's offense. Landry was good, but hurt all last year.

The WR room in CLE in '21 was amongst the worst in the league.

Amari immediately improved it.

It's still not great, but improved.
