But he doesn't play well.

It's the Josh Allen effect.  The things Richardson can do can't be coached, but (hopefully) reading the defense, going through progressions and making the right decisions can be coached.  Napier in Florida isn't doing him any favors in the development side of things...

Levis yes, but if a team doesn't mind Bryce's height, he's got all the tools in the world.  Absolutely love that kid's game.  For every Baker/Johnny/Kyler, there's a Brees/Frank (and dare I say Jalen?)

CJ, the OSU stain scares me more than height lol

Height AND weight he's 194lbs(Young) A 6'4" 320lb DT would be the end of him. Tua messed his draft position up for sure.

First round needs to be Will Anderson or Miles Murphy.

Take those other picks and move up into the first or early second if you love one of these kids.

To me there is no runaway QB1. I was thinking Stroud was that guy but our fellow huddlers reminded me about OSU and Alabama guys and it's more true than not, they come from stacked squads so everything is easier especially against other colleges.

So that leaves Levis, whom I love but is not a heads and shoulder upgrade over Corral. He's an inch taller and maybe (now) 10-15lbs heavier but without Corrals awesome completion percentages.

You all know my opinion, most of you are sleeping on Matt Corral, if he was in this draft only Stroud and Young could touch him statistically.

Those guys also had way more top tier players around them so what could have Corral done with their protection, their top tier receivers? Probably better.

We picked our QB last year. They haven't caught up to that FACT yet. It's time for another DE.

I don’t hate looking at QB’s, but people need to compare tape of these guys to Corral’s tape.

Corral wasn’t 3rd round because he isn’t talented. The narrative of “weak QB class” took over, along with “he got hurt” and “he’s a drunk!” BS.

The tape I’ve seen from some of the top guys in this class…well I’ll just say Matt is just as talented so far.

I would love a pass rusher, LB, TE/WR, more OL in the 1st. Sign a vet bridge QB if you don’t want to start Corral right away.

Outside of being 6’5”, Corral has all the tools to work with and develop.

There is a 0.0% chance that we dont take a qb in the first come April

    • Absolutely LOVED Smitty as a player. Who didn't? But Smitty the person, yeah... not so much. Unfortunately all those things that made us love him as a player had no off switch. He was basically the exact same person off the field that was on the field and that's obviously just not gonna work well in polite society.
    • And our record says we were a losing team that lucked into getting into the playoffs. Playoffs are not our standard because we didn't earn our way in, the Falcons had to do it for us. We also got in because the NFCS sent another losing record team to the playoffs and the Panthers are the only team in the NFL to go twice with a losing record. That's not something to be proud of. The reason I brought up the 13 and 16 point scores was those are not typically wins most weeks in the NFL. In fact, there were 31 wins this season where the winning team scored under 20. 7 of those happened in week 18. That means this past season, only 11% of the time, the winning team scored under 20. Prior to week 18, that was 9%. Week 18 was a statistical anomaly.  How often does a team go into the red zone 6 times and come away with 13 points? Not often. GB did and we won that game. And we played a Jets team (0-7 at the time) that was offensively inept. Teams also don't consistently win one score games as often as we did either. Those things tend to balance themselves out the following year. I'm not erasing wins. I'm looking at how this team actually performed during the season. We defied the odds winning 2 games scoring under 20. The record, and the stats across the NFL, show we are in reality closer in performance to a 6 win team than we are to 8.    If Bryce was a FA for another team would we be looking at him? Probably not. He's in the retread and dice roll category. It just so happens we just signed him to the option. There's not a lot of good options out there right now. That's why I'm not in the sign a vet as QB2 club. Bring in a retread or dice roll. Trotting a vet out a couple of games isn't going to get us anywhere long term.
    • Not sure he is in the top ten but: His 9.99 RAS score, second among 1,512 tackles since 1987, isn't a gimmick. You see every bit of that explosiveness translate to the field when he kicks and slides in pass sets. NFLDraftBuzz
