Between Teddy's contract and picking up Sam's option...mind boggling moves.

Exactly! We had already agreed we overcommitted to Teddy but then we go and do the same thing with Darnold? It just made no sense. Moves like that make really iffy with Fitt and Tepp even with Rhule gone.

Was there really no one in the room who thought it could be a bad idea?

I think they should send him packing at the tail end of the season.   I don’t think he deserves to stay here.

Keeping him feels like keeping Rhule headed into this season. Pointless.  He has been too involved in this mess and somehow gets a pass from it all.

This is what bad organizations do. The GM and the Coach should be on the same clock.

Scott should either be fired or he should be able to hire coach and gets as long as the coach does.

My assumption is that is exactly what is going to happen

He did what I needed to see so I am willing to wait and see at this point...but it's too damn close still. He had a hand in a lot of bad here. Setting up for a good offseason is not only good but it was necessary. I expect to see another trade (Shaq) at some point but he has done well from what we know in the past 2 weeks. If they can avoid giving out stupid heavy backended deals to keep players happy to stay and just limp into the offseason then we should be in a solid spot to hire a competent HC.

To be fair, I believe it was Hurney who made the Teddy deal, not Fiterrer.

"Collection of pics is equivalent to a late first" ...

Really?  Then you should now be able to trade them all to someone for a late first rounder.

I believe he could, but I don’t see the need unless we’re moving up to select a QB who dropped and we didn’t get one with our first.

I like the chances we hit on two starters with those picks. We’ll have the first pick or so in the second anyway.

    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
    • Moved to Tuesday, not Wednes because of scheduling with Flyers game or something in Philly. But I don't feel good about the Heat.  It has been a great season regardless.  Team just been playing so hard to move up since a bad start and just picked a bad time to get gassed.  It's like almost everyone is shooting cold at the same time even wide open shots.   Maybe atmosphere and playoffs kick off a spark.  I'd rather be in a series than a one and done though. The team has a good foundation to build on regardless of what happens.
