You must have not been around during draft time and pre draft in 2011. I remember it like it was yesterday, nearly EVERYONE and all the experts said that Cam was a HUGE risk and reach because he just ran a one read option at Auburn and it would take years for him to be NFL ready.

Mel Kiper and Mcshay were saying (no I’m not even joking) that we should draft Blaine Gabbert or Jake Locker over Cam because they were more pro ready day 1.

Stroud, Young and even Levis are way more NFL ready now then Cam was coming out of Auburn.

That's the typical assessment of the black QB with running ability. "He's not NFL Ready". He comes from a "one read" option offense. And of course the sub-par white QBs on the title contender that has a plethora of weapons that literally anyone could chunk the ball up to get described as pro ready.

Mel Kiper is a nut job. Mcshay, I can't even put a face on. But what the media thinks and what is reality is two totally different things.

See Lamar Jackson. Robert Griffin. Mike Vick. Cam Newton. Randall Cunningham. Steve McNair. Daunte Culpepper. All had the exact same assessments.

Corral is almost too short at 6'2" to QB in the NFL in my book.

Please, if you draft a QB shortsightedly instead of a someone like Myles Murphy who could make your line terrifying and probably boost sacks for Burns, draft one over 6'2" please.

Corral is your quarterback though so...

I know you are trolling and this is your shtick, but Corral cannot practice until August.  You think a new coach is going to roll with that when we have a top 3 pick.  I get your over the top style but come on man this is getting retarded at this point

I'm looking back at you the same way. They made moves to get a QB THEY really like. You may not have picked him but they made a pretty serious investment in the kid. You actually think they're NOT going to play him? Who's retarded?

Don’t get me wrong I loved the bloke but he never had back to back winning seasons and he never won us a SB.

Ok, doesn't change a thing. There isn't a 6'6" 250lb bulldozer QB in this draft. Is Stroud or Levi the Heisman trophy winner, don't know. Are Stroud or Levis SEC championship winning QBs? We don't know. We do know Cam was all of those things before becoming a Panther and Cam is the most singular reason we won enough to get to the Superbowl.

How many QBs have had a 15-1 season? Not very many. Cam is better than you think. If you watched that Superbowl you'd know the fix was in so give the guy a break he's the best we've had and should be respected as such.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
