Outperformed him by leading his franchise to a top pick? Outperformed him with less total yards? What are you using as a measurement for “outperforming.”
Also Mills was a 3rd round pick…

Mills has more TD, more yards, better passer rating with way less talent on a team that has been purposely tanking for two straight offseason.

I don’t think Mills is any good but facts are facts. Btw while you are bragging about Fields stats he was getting blown out by the cowboys so, the bears are also on pace to have a top 10 pick. Lol

Mobile QBs do.

Dual threat don't

I can list tons of mobile qbs in history that have won. Mobile QB is where the sweet spot is.

ah yes; this was it, your moronic semantics in which QBs who run for hundreds of yards as part of the total package of what they offer are reclassified depending on whether or not they won a super bowl or merely willed their team into attending it but were just too “dual threat” to be a winner

like lol

No it's about ability to win only with your arm.

And run when only necessary.

I was talking about career stats……

this is why you don’t interject into conversation.

Why if we are judging them as they are at present. They were all in awful situations last year. And could you point out where you specified career stats.

lol this argument has already been deconstructed to you multiple times, it’s embarrassing watching you cling to it, preserve some dignity

your dumb personal standard of what constitutes good play is a discarded relic, no longer do teams seek the kind of player you’re looking for, not only is your argument already wrong as QBs that have amassed hundreds of rush yards over the course of a season have already played in and won Super Bowls, very soon there literally won’t be any refuge for you to hide in because the only kinds of QBs comprising playoff rosters are the mobile ones you hate so much

You are comparing cumulative stats with a player who has played more games. 😂😂 That’s not how it works at all.
Cooks would be the best weapon Fields has had in his NFL career. Pierce is solid too. Tunsil is also a legit LT. 3 wins is better than 1, you understand that right?

The QBs I seek

Staubach

Russ

Big Ben

Manning

Warren Moon

Fouts

Young

Montana

And on and on and on would all still be franchise guys today.

I'll take prime Russ Moon lamar and Mahomes over Cam any day of the week.

The number one measurement of a QB is arm and passing ability. Plain and simple.

Allen can throw

Cousins can throw

Russ traditionally can throw

Brady can throw

Lamar can throw

Rogers can throw

Herbert Burrows can throw.

I want a guy that can dice you up.

Not some jag that can kinda get it in the vicinity.

Fields is more vicinity than surgical

Mills has played 21 games, Fields 20

And Fields had Mooney, Robinson, Kmet, Montgomery and Herbert.

You are bragging about 3 wins lol, that just goes to show how bad both QBs are.

You don't know how to read.

Was Staubach mobile

Young

Mahomes

Yes. But it was in top of elite arms.

They won because of their arms not their legs

No we are not, I was talking about the 2021 class in totality.

The fact is 3 weeks ago Fields was far and away the worst QB in the class and 3 weeks of decent football isn’t gonna change my perspective.

    • Disclaimer:  In June, I am usually optimistic.  In October, a policeman with a bullhorn is telling me that I have a lot of life ahead of me and to think about my loved ones as I gaze down upon him from my rooftop.   Having said that, I think our offense (down the stretch) was good enough to play KC and Philly tough.  So how many games would this offense have won if they played the entire season like they did in November-January and if they had a better defense?   If you could stretch the last nine games over an entire season and put a solid defense on the other side, I see 5 wins becoming 7 or 8.  Down the stretch, the Panther D surrendered 30 points or more in 5 of the final 7 games and managed to win 2 of those 5.  If they can win 40% of games in which their defense surrenders 30 points or more, then the math indicates, had that been the case all season, the Panthers should have won 6 or 7 games with their defense surrendering 30+ points.   This season, we are much better at WR (TMac, Renfrow, Horn, and I expect XL to be a lot better).  Bryce is confident and now a leader.    The Achilles' heel of the 2024 defense, the DL, seems to be very solid.  We got back Horn and Jackson on the corners, Smith-Wade is improving better than expected, we signed a stud Safety.  Derrick Brown returns.  While the D is not there yet, it is going to be better.   So if we ended the second half of 2024 playing at a level that should have produced 6-7 wins, better WRs and a better defense could result in 9 wins or more.
