Unrelated side note.

But they had a nice Andy Griffith special going on talking with surviving stars and Fox came in and cut it off for Soccer.

Soccer.

I despise everything about it.

All that running with no passing. It’s your nightmare of a sport!

In his defense who has really had a “hard” schedule this year? He has played his share of ranked teams.

Richardson, Levis, Hooker all played Georgia. Stroud's toughest games this year were Notre Dame and Penn State so far. Michigan tmrw and the playoffs will be the true test.

You don’t worry dude went 13 of 30 against the Florida Gators defense?

So back to 1 game grades? You salty much? If so Richardson isn't top 100. 9 of 27 tonight...... And that 2nf half was Matt rhule era terrible.

But we know that you don't grade on 1 game. Ar is top 20

Yeah but they got crushed by UGA. Stroud played Michigan last year against Hutchinson in his first year as a starter and went 34/49 for 394 yards 2 TDs and 0 INTs. They still lost but it was more because their defense allowed 42 points. Stroud played solid, but got sacked a bunch.

Are you high? When have I ever graded anyone on one game? I asked if you if it was concerning that he couldn’t throw accurately against the Florida Gators. I am not even mad we lost. I didn’t think we were even going to be this competitive today. I said as much last week and the week before. Sometimes it’s like folks here just throw poo at the wall and hope it sticks. I am also the first person here to make a tank for Stroud thread. Stroud has been who I have wanted this year. Just like Fields last year and Herbert the year before. And I don’t do it off of one game and when I watch footage of them playing I definitely use context who who they have around them, who they are playing, who is making the plays happen, who is making them fail, coaching, mechanics, arm strength, etc.

But again, FSU actually has a good defense. Florida does not.

You said he played good tonight. He completed 43% of his passes against Florida on 30 attempts. This isn’t our 2000-2001 defense. We were giving up 28 points a game before tonight. He ran great tonight. There is no excuse for a team missing four tackles on one play against a QB in their backfield.

    • I had forgotten how shady the Patriots really were. Sheesh.
    • Its worse because the NFL would never allow all the teams to join the NFC East or something.  There's a firm divisional structure with a salary cap to make it competitive.
    • Practice tweets/news from today (will post videos in the next cpl of posts if there are any worthwhile): K Ryan Fitzgerald now wearing #10. QB Hendon Hooker has #12. WR Dalevon Campbell has #81. RB DeeJay Dallas was in #1 but it's currently a practice-only number as he was playing the part of Jag's RB Travis Etienne on the scout team (his real number is #20). WR Jalen Coker walked out with a compression sleeve on his left leg. Later seen on the bike. LG Damien Lewis not wearing the red practice jersey anymore, should be full go for Thursday. LT Ikem Ekwonu was at practice but not dressed out as he recovers from an appendectomy. Worked out on the sideline with Jalen Coker + RB Jonathon Brooks. WRs Tetairoa McMillan, Xavier Legette, and Hunter Renfrow were all exempt from special teams practice. Likely three starters for Thursday. OT Yosh Nijman got the first looks at LT today. During the post-practice presser, Canales said that there was a lot of good energy today and that offense won the 1-on-1s which included a 40yd throw from Bryce Young to Xavier Legette early to "set the tone" (per Canales). Also stated that Icky is currently day-to-day. Commented on having a training plan for Coker this passed offseason and that he did a great job following it (though the quad issue is one he has had in the past). Renfrow's locker is between Dalton and Hooker (left) and Young (right). Sounds like they're trying to get Renfrow on the same page as the QBs in this offense to replace AT's role as that second set of "QB eyes" on the field. Icky talked about his symptoms that led to his surgery and mentioned that his dad, a physician, was who got him to go. Won't rush himself back, but hasn't ruled out playing Sunday. Renfrow said he had others, but he was either going to play for the Panthers or not at all. Said Bryce called him during the process and that when he was released the team mentioned that the Thielen trade might be coming. Got the news while picking up a trailer at his other job. Also said that Canales told him that he didn't think that he was physically ready yet but wanted him back on the practice squad. The Coker injury changed the calculus.
