He fired the coach who gave the Titans their first back to back winning seasons since 2007 and hired the guy who took them to the AFC Championship where Mahomes finally ended their season.  Look at the QB's who have knocked them out since 2016:  Brady, Mahomes, Jackson, Burrow.  That's like murderers row of QB's.

That's life in the AFC. You either have an elite QB or you're getting KO'ed in the playoffs by a team with an elite QB.

Getting the vibe that most people disrespecting him as an executive don't actually pay attention to the league outside of this team. This was his 20th season working in the NFL and he has been on 3 losing teams (Tampa Bay from 2013-2015). In that time they drafted multiple pro bowlers and doubled their win total, until he got poached by the Titans. In his time in Tennessee, they never had a losing season and had a combined record of 66-43 (60%), good for 9th best in the league during that span.

He made some mistakes and lost a power struggle within the organization, so it was probably a good time to move on. With that said, he successfully rebuilt them, he has a good reputation around the league, and he has had more success than any executive that we have had. He'd be an upgrade imo

    • I thought he was from watching him play and also doing his first HC job. I thought he was the real deal  Apparently what happened is Kraft committed to Mayo and I don’t remember the timeline exactly - but Vrabel was unemployed at the same time Belichick was unemployed. They both were fired (or out) after the 2023 season.  Kraft hired Mayo. Who was kind of an obvious disaster. He probably already had the deal in place but I will give Kraft credit for not sleeping. With Vrabel out there for 2025 he made the move he needed to make and if it hurt Mayo’s feelings then oh well.  I guess you can tell I am not fond of Kraft but that was a really savvy move. At his age, pretty good. Still has it.
    • It’s going to feel like a home game for the bills. There are so many of their fans that live down here now, and many of them have never seen Allen play in person since their last visit was 8 years ago. It didn’t matter for the cowboys game, but it might here. I think we likely lose a close one. Probably a questionable flag or two that doesn’t go our way. X factor for Buffalo will be Kincaid and Knox. If we do win it’s because we get ahead and play keep away from Allen. FYI- I have many friends who are Bills fans that are fed up with Beane who we all revere and think is the one that got away. They feel like he was great to land Josh but has done a terrible job of building around him (especially at WR) and rely on him to become super man to win- sounds kind of familiar, like the last time we had a franchise QB.
    • I always thought of him as an uptight military family dude, didn't know he needs to wash that mouth out with soap lol.
