The Panthers will likely win the NFC South. That will make the CMC trade look even worse come playoff time. The 49ers will be a force and the Panthers won't have the offensive playmaker needed for playoff success. The Panthers will have the OL and a better disciplined defense going in to the playoffs, but the front office did a lot of damage to the Panthers in the offseason and waiting too long to make changes during the season. That CMC trade to strengthen the 49ers with a Panthers playoff run should get the front office fired.

CMC requested that trade my friend. The 49ers gave us a really good haul so win/win. If the FO really wanted to tank they could have traded Burns and Moore. They didn't.

It wouldn't matter if CMC was still here. He's doing what he's doing in SF because he has an offensive HC and an OC who are creative and try to maximize his skill set. The damage was done to this team in the offseason keeping limp d*ck Matt Rhule and hiring an inept offensive coordinator.

CMC was just done with this team. It could have been a lot worse. We got a good trade.

We were not going to win anything with CMC because our coaching staff would have just rode him into the ground. Without him we have had to actually involve other people and the offense at least looks better.

He had damn near 200yds today pretty much beat the Bucs by himself

      Night and day difference in the front office investements.  Since Morgan has been in the FO (5 years)....4 out of 5 first round picks have been offensive players.  The one defensive pick was a corner. Expand it out to the first 2 rounds? 7 out of the 9 picks have been offensive.  That IMO is why our D sucks so bad.   You build defenses up front.   Carolina hasn't been investing there.  Ron's first 5 years? 3 of the 5 first round picks were defensive players.  Expand it all to include second rounders  7 of the 10 picks were defensive.  All front 7 players.

      I think he gets this year to show what he can do.  Last year, we had a lot of injuries. This year, we should have some players, even if we lose one or two.  It's the first preseason game.  Some of the starters weren't even in it.  There is no scheming or game planning.  Let's see how guys do when it counts. I think we have a GM that knows a thing or two about defense.  Let it play out.

      I was ok with the mentor aspect of keeping Dalton, but wow has he fallen off the deep end. The slow behind the WR interception was awful. I keep hearing our WRs created no separation, but on that particular play dude was wide open and Dalton couldn't get it to him with a clean pocket. Next year, we need to address the backup QB spot haaaaaard!
