Hornets vs Hawks

Seriously, do these guys ever play defense?  Or stop shooting horrible shots?

This team is finished if they don't learn the basics and stop trying to score first.

Oubre is the first that needs to go, he just won't stop shooting (and missing).

Bunch of selfish ass idiots.

I don't know if I'm correct but the team looked better under Borrego. I know we lost Bridges and haven't been playing with Ball or Heyward this whole season but something is just off this year.

Don’t worry we will finish with the worst record in the league and end up with the 5th pick

Really don’t think Borrego would have been any better. The defense was just as bad, offense kept us in games because we had Miles and the team was healthier.

Clifford has to get the guys in line but it’s time to start blaming Mitch for the defenseless roster he built.

When do we blame the players?  It is their selfish, lazy play that is killing this team.

While we are at it, let's blame the owner too.

    • In fairness, I am pretty sure the poster in question is also one of the "Let's sign Cam!" guys too. As if this makes that chapter of this franchise any less painful or would accomplish anything.
    • Wondering if I should take the metra to Solider Field on Sunday.   Was thinking this was going to be a stinker if we were still starting Young of the Shire but it would be fun to check us out.
    • Agree 100%.  Given the chaos of the past few years, it has been easy to point to the idea of just keeping Wilks.  And I do think he did an admirable job during his time as interim head coach. Still, I have to give Tepper credit for this... I think Canales is a good hire, not only as a head coach & culture builder, but as an innovative play caller. He fits what modern NFL offenses need to do.  Running the ball will always be important.  But as we saw with Bryce (and with most of our QBs/schemes over the past 6 years), if you can't throw the ball effectively (as well as challenge deep), you are not going to succeed as a top team. Canales has not perfect (still questioning the lack of preseason playing time), but guys are getting schemed open in a way I can't remember since Dan Henning designed his offense around Smitty. Canales is putting DJ & XL in positions to make catches.  The Oline is blasting open holes for the RB's more often than not. For a team that has been the epitome of putrid on offense for more seasons than I care to remember, this has been a breath of fresh air!
