I never saw Funchess as soft. He took some major shots across the middle. My knock was he didn't run good routes. They were always were lazy.

He has a burnt play in my mind, in the playoffs with panthers driving.....cam throws a perfect TD to take the lead, funch just needs to jump alittle or lay out for it......he didnt. it was against the saints Ill add as well...

During OTAs, mini, and training the guy ALWAYS had issues with hamstrings. No memes, by far the most snaps missed via him not drinking water......

Many times a smaller CB stopped him, either by press or just wanted the ball more.

Blocking was sub-par for his frame as well.

You are right a few times he did get blown up, got up then headed to the huddle.

@LinvilleGorge you going to call this out or do I need to take a suspension. You stop racist behavior and I won’t have to address it.

That is racist behavior? Man come on seriously...? You are reaching hard here aren't you? The dude asked why the ball was as dark as him. Should we pretend we are in a fantasy world where everyone is the same shade? Had someone of very light complexion been bouncing a very light colored ball and someone of a different color asked why the ball was as light as him would you be standing up for it as well? Of course you wouldn't.

I suppose im racist for not agreeing with you right? The BS with racism is in fact real but so are people who sit around and just look for anything to claim racism.

    • there is one common denominator in the 2003 & 2015 Carolina Panthers teams they both had ELITE top tier Qb play.  it would require a MVP type of season from Bryce Young to have the same type of success that Jake Delhomme had in  2003 & or Cam Newton in 2015 & lead this team to a SuperBowl is this going to happen or is there any reason to believe Bryce Young is capable of playing similar to Jake Delhomme in 2003 or Cam Newton in 2015 ? well no there is no absolutely NO reason whatsoever to believe that this is going to happen in 2026 ..just saying
    • I'd actually like to see Cherelus get a fair shot to win the job in camp. Wallace is decent in drop zone coverage, but he gets abused in the play action game and is often times out of position in the run game. It might just be me, but I swear every time I watch Wallace play, I see multiple plays a game were it looks like he's just trying to be blocked. Watching Cherelus last year he at least looked like he was trying to hit someone on every play. Wallace plays like a LB who doesn't trust what he sees and it makes him passive and cautious versus Cherelus who regardless of if his decision is right or wrong goes at it 100%.
    • Agreed.  Hasn’t happened to me either, but I feel very strongly about it.  That’s not just one of the worst things a woman could do to a man, it’s a power inherent to only women and is one of the worst things a HUMAN being can do to another.  A man can’t “hide” a pregnancy or maternity.  It’s impossible.  And that sucks for anyone that has to go through that. I always got a weird vibe off her and just found her very unlikeable.  Annoying even.  I’ve always been good at reading people and there was just something about her to me that was off-putting, somewhere under the surface.  And here we are…  she is despicable.
