We're not likely to reach out to anybody until the season is officially over.

Yeah I’m I with that. I just want us to bring in somebody with NFL success before. He works for me. I’m less enthused about Ryans or Wilks or even the eagles OC.

Tampering rules would prevent them from reaching out to anybody currently employed by another NFL team, but coaches outside the NFL or not currently employed would be fair game.

Still, as mentioned above, the wait was primarily out of respect for Steve Wilks.

He had a 5-3 playoff record with 3 NFC championship appearances, an NFC title, and a SB appearance in 4 years. His worst NFL regular season record was 8-8. I can understand being skeptical, but no need to make up reasons as to why.

BTW his brother has a SB ring as well.

His brother has 1 ring and has been trying to get back there ever since. He also has Lamar who everyone here wants to sign for whatever he want. Yet they cannot get back to the SB.

The only active NFL head coach with more than one ring is Bill Belichick so not sure why you think that's a slight. Should the Chiefs fire Andy Reid since they only have one ring with a HOF worthy QB? Mike Tomlin won his one ring in 2008 and hasn't been back to the SB since 2010, should the Steelers also get rid of him?

No, the Ravens do not want to swap seats with us. That's foolish.  You have seen what he can do but he will not get us beyond that. The Ravens are always a playoff threat but no SB threat.  But they would never get back into the coaching search as long as Harbaugh is there even though he is not the best but he far from the worst.  His brother is much the same.  They are a run, run, run, punt conservative defensive philosophy coaches. The only reason any of you here are interested is because of his name. Miss me with that.

Nope. People are interested because of his past success in the NFL. He's more than doubled his losses, almost won a Super Bowl, and he arguably never had the best team, and certainly had a decidedly limited QB that he put into a position for success. As for this ultra conservative philosophy you're talking about, it's certainly not reflected in his 49 teams' stats. But even still, why not run to success if you can? There were some pretty good QBs and teams in a pass-happy league when he was at the helm, and yet he figured out how to hang with them all.

Andy Reid only has one, is he a bad coach?

No. He's an offense oriented guy that no team would turn down.  The Harbaugh brothers are defensive guys. Both systems are predicated on a great QB. Reid has an eye for one. He's also a threat to have his team in the SB every year, the AFC title at minimum.  Harbaugh? Since, his one and only SB title he has been struggling to get back ever since. They are no threat even with Lamar. His brother at Michigan cannot do any better. Either could improve this team to challenge for the nfcs and occasionally the nfc title. They most definitely could break the back to back winning seasons curse. But I seriously doubt either could make us a serious SB threat once we make the playoffs.

But that's just me I guess.
