Thought this was common knowledge.

You'd think, but some need an annual reminder.

He mentioned "production" as well, but that has escaped some as well.

This thinking kinda goes hand in hand about what Person said about AR.

Folks genuinely claiming that college production has no influence on how a prospect is viewed was a new level of crazy I wasn't prepared for.

He's the cap specialist, right?

Right? Makes you wonder why all these GMs and coaches show up to the combine. Why do players like Orlando Brown Jr drop? The game tape made hold MORE value as it should, but people want to see these guys up close, do interviews, and see what they can do from an athletic standpoint. We had Fitt, Morgan, Reich, and McCown all watching the QBs workout.

That's great, but Reich specifically mentioned that he, the Teppers, Fitterer, Morgan and Suleiman are part of a collaboration to basically get the team to where it needs to be. Suleiman is part of the inner circle. Let's not get it twisted.

Good teams desperately need someone who can evaluate without emotion, someone who can be the accountant and read the real numbers.

Hopefully with Rhule out of the way Suleiman can go back to doing his job like that, both in drafts, FA and contracts.

There's no way Suleiman didn't have a fit and get overr(h)uled on the Robbie Anderson and Ian Thomas contracts.

Suleiman would be more of the making it work financially as that’s his expertise and job title. Yes they all have to work together to build a team.

It doesn't sound like Tepper has him locked in the corner of his office crunching numbers. Sure, that's his primary job, but Suleiman has a wealth of experience that the powers-that-be are open to and benefitting from.

I'm sure he is included, but he wasn't sitting there with McCown, Reich, Morgan, and Fitt.  Actions always speak louder than words.  Will he be in the draft room?  Maybe, but it's going to be Fitt, Morgan, Reich, Tepper, and probably some coaching staff there.  Workouts and interviews (especially interviews) are going to be a good part of the process as well.  The rumors (and yes they are rumors) are that we like Levis as well.  I'm not sure that would be strictly from game tape.  It's probably more of Brown having a connection with a previous OC at Kentucky and getting to know what kind of player his has plus his athletic ability.  Don't get me wrong film tape is extremely important, but they all are part of the process.

He job is to tell everyone the financial impacts of each decision and offer his advice on contract structures.

Yeah and honestly he didn't do a very good job doing that in previous years... (Robbie, Ian Thomas etc, and us being over the cap after a bad season).  Unless maybe he advised against it and Rhule/Fitt just rolled with it anyway.  Regardless he is more of a cap/numbers guy vs a scout/player development guy.  We have plenty of scout/player development guys on this new staff and several of them were at the combine watching the workouts and conducting interviews.

I mean, technically you're right, but that doesn't mean that that's all that he does. And who knows, his role could have expanded, especially with theore knowledge that he shows. I mean, he is being groomed to be a GM.

"Fitterer said that Suleiman could also help the front office in player evaluation."
