That GA  game could be every week for Bryce in the NFL. The more film I see the more nervous I get about him when there's legit D-line pressure

i'm only starting to look at these dudes now, but my immediate reaction is strongly in Stroud's favor. after so many years of back-ups and projects, i'd really just like to watch a sure footed smooth and NFL-ready Quarterback. I see in Young's tape a lot of what I saw in Blaine Gabbert's when people were hyping him up for that draft. so much panic scrambling.

I thought Stroud vs Michigan was supposed to be a bad game for him? He was balling besides that one flicked int. His WR's didn't show up. After watching 5 years of backup quality QB's I'd take this any day of the week

Don't forget, Ohio State's Pro Day is on March 22nd so you'll be able to evaluate Stroud again.  Alabama's is on March 30th and it's my understanding that Bryce Young WILL participate.  

It's certainly possible that both QB's will have outstanding NFL careers.

The more I go back and watch these guys the more I think Stroud makes things look easier than they really are, while Young has a knack for making routine plays look harder than they should.  And as much as I like watching Young make something happen on the scramble drill, the kid seems to default to that instead of working within the structure of the original play design.

Here's a highlight reel of CJ Stroud from the Rose Bowl where he threw for 570 yards and 6 TD's against Utah's God-awful secondary.  I share this because you can see that his ball placement is extradordinary!

Good way to put it.

Young reminds me a lot of Cam Newton, he did the same thing you describe in making easy plays seem harder, but he got away with it by nature of being the greatest human being to ever live. Young is Cam but 185 lbs, and I don't think he's going to get away with how he plays at the NFL level.

Yet Levis got picked 3 times by Tennessee's 130th ranked secondary lol.

Watching both them throw on tape a lot more lately and nothing has changed for ne. Stroud is the guy, i like Bryce  but man that houdini act he loves to do and also really good at...but it gets him in trouble sometimes. And when i say trouble he gets BLASTED buried in the ground. It makes you cringe.

Here is a short visual representation of what I keep seeing show up on film.  These are not isolated plays.  Both seem to be part of a pattern that keeps coming up.  I chose the Utah State game for Bryce Young because I wanted to remove the talent excuse.

The one with Young needs no explanation.  Missing the open receivers seems obvious.  Its like he's not even interested in working the natural playcall and waits until a rusher finally breaks loose.  Then he dodges the defender and throws a hero ball to a covered receiver towards the sideline.  For CJ Stroud I chose a play that shows up on his film but doesn't show up much on Bryce's film.  At full speed it just looked like the receiver broke open and CJ made a nice, easy, open pass in the hole.  But if you freeze frame it you see that CJ committed to that receiver before he broke open, and threw him into the open spot with anticipation and timing.  Bryce doesn't really do that.  Bryce would have danced around for another 3 seconds and declared that noone was open.
