A lot of them don't anymore, and generally on the advice of their agents. Teams don't necessarily care that much depending on what they're looking for.

Me? I'm looking to see the "ball placement machine" in action so I'm not real worried about him running the 40.

Well I don't care if he can throw the ball at a spot in a workout.  I care whether he is a leader and will put it all in the line for his teammates. I do not want timid guys trying to show this team how to be a leader.  All of these guys can throw the football well enough.  Now you want to know which of them have it in them to be the face of the franchise and handle all the responsibilities that come with that.

So not running the 40 equates to not putting it all on the line for his teammates?

Neither ran. Levis just came to show off his "cannon" and it looked fairly average. He definitely didn't get the pop out of his throwing session he was looking for. Young just showed up to step on a scale over 200 pounds. Mission accomplished.

Yeah these guys didn't really seem to want to measure up against each other side by side. They skipped a lot of things. Kinda shows a mind set of they've arrived and they do not have to really put any effort forward. Doesn't give me confidence these guys have any dawg in them.

Here is your  40 time fellas:

He isn't a running QB so IDC about 40 time, honestly. Nor is he an elite athlete.

I didn't get much out of watching any of this because I didn't question his arm talent or throwing ability.

I am comfortable drafting him or Young from what I have seen so far.

    • Who were we going to trade up with? The Dolphins wanted Proctor, the Rams were vehement on taking Ty Simpson, the Ravens wanted Ioane, and the Bucs werent trading with us except for maybe a kings ransom. Even if we wanted to move, we had no partner. Moot point.
    • Devin Lloyd is a stud lb but who is next to him? Prince and Nic should improve. Lee was super value but i am not counting this fourth round chicken yet. I would expect some improvement; hope to eat my words w/ a top ten D.
    • I mean I agree about diminished Cam probably still being viable. Even though it gave a preview of how teams would defend the pass against a limited QB. There was an issue with the upcoming contract he was due to get and his expectations vs the new reality of his physical status - that people tend to  overlook when looking back on it  It had an effect on things I believe   But I do have to ask… what about Tepper’s second major move? fuging clueless   I mean I would take even an injured  Cam over Bryce all day long.
