Do you think a college athlete's speed has changed that much?

Your body changes a lot during those 3 years and they’re working out more

No one here thinks CJ is a burner but I’m definitely taking his 40 time as an 18 year old with a grain of salt

He’s now 6’3” 213

I do like that he's had a lot of hardships growing up so it doesn't seem he'd be fazed by adversity

Honestly I think we will end up loving both Young and Stroud

Edit: Hate that he had the hardships, but like how well he's adapted

There is no way CJ runs anything lower than a 4.8, and that's okay.

It will be very fun to compare this to Bryce tomorrow.  The only time I've seen Frank smile like THAT so far was laughing at David Newton's questions.  That's a high mark.

The time wasters this time of year are just *chef's kiss

    • I encourage you to go back and watch his college play. Notice how he immediately backpedals to 10 yards behind the LOS on almost every snap. You can't do that in the NFL. Your OTs have no chance of keeping those freak show edge rushers off of you. You can't create a pocket that deep. Bryce can chuck it when he has an airport runway in front of him to step up into. There's a reason why "ease of creating velocity" is such a talking point evaluating QBs. It's not how hard or how far you can throw the ball given a perfect situation. It's how hard and how far you can throw the ball in a typical NFL game situation and that's where a lot of my concerns with Bryce were going into the draft. There were way too many plays in his college tape that if you were watching that purely in terms of translating it to the NFL it just didn't work.
    • Yeah, like I said I get it. From a revenue perspective I'm not a good customer for them. They've probably intentionally tanked offline franchise mode to try to get people online. Again, not a terrible strategy from a pure business perspective. I can't really be mad at them for doing what's good for business but yeah, from my perspective it still sucks.
    • Ok let me be more specific. Smith was a stud before Newton got here do you not agree? Yes, LaFell improved under Cam but then had his best years after leaving the Panthers with Cam as the QB and going to NE. So he improved playing with someone else. Olsen was in Chicage the year before Cam arrived and statistically had the same numbers his first year with Cam.  Hope that's clearer for you.
