but what if he chose to live in Gastonia or Shelby?

It would mean that he wasn't drafted until the seventh round.

I personally do not think the Panthers will trade down--I think they will all know the pick (and I am about 60% sure they saw his pro day today). While I like a lot of things about Young, as a coach, I would want Stroud.  The accuracy, timing, and quick release---oh my.

It's a fact.

Google it. Raleigh is ranked in the top 5 places to live in the US.

Sorry but it's a well known secret the Panthers would thrive if they moved the team to Raleigh. The fans are much more passionate in Raleigh.

Go to a Panthers or Hornets games and you will hear the opposing teams fans more than the Panthers fans. Go to a Hurricanes game and you will here the city of Raleigh shaking the roof off the building!

Raleigh ain't much bigger than Bryce Young. They'd need to play in a basketball arena

Raleigh simply has a more rowdy fanbase than Charlotte.

It's more of a college feel in that tri state area. Charlotte is low key everybody just trying to enjoy the game in a peaceful manner. The Hornets shouldn't even have a NBA team their crowd in non factor.

What

Sorry, Raleigh and Charlotte are not even in the same league. Charlotte is a now bona fide American-style big city (as opposed to global big cities), complete with big city advantages and disadvantages. Raleigh is a medium-sized city that some people prefer to Charlotte because it's not as big yet.

Raleigh will someday be as big as Charlotte is today, and the same people that prefer it to Charlotte today will just move to Greensboro. And by that time, Charlotte may be the size of Dallas or Houston, and people who are vocal will like it less but the numbers won't lie.

Not really. The Raleigh-Durham-Cary CSA metro area is only a few hundred thousand less than the Charlotte CSA, and it's growing at a faster rate.

I thought all the hugs and love tapping was interesting too.  Lotta love going around.  Interesting

Echoing the Raleigh love (I am from there originally) and with Chapel Hill right next door it’s amazing.  We took the family down to the Virginia game at UNC a few weeks back and it was heaven.  Damn…I love Chapel Hill on game day.

It was just a joke. I think that kid has confused NYC and vicinity with the Triangle.

    • Ultimately it's up to the other safety prospects to clearly outplay Scott. I think when that happens on tape against other teams it'll be addressed. I think none of them have done that definitively and consistently yet.
    • Night and day difference in the front office investements.  Since Morgan has been in the FO (5 years)....4 out of 5 first round picks have been offensive players.  The one defensive pick was a corner. Expand it out to the first 2 rounds? 7 out of the 9 picks have been offensive.  That IMO is why our D sucks so bad.   You build defenses up front.   Carolina hasn't been investing there.  Ron's first 5 years? 3 of the 5 first round picks were defensive players.  Expand it all to include second rounders  7 of the 10 picks were defensive.  All front 7 players.
    • I think he gets this year to show what he can do.  Last year, we had a lot of injuries. This year, we should have some players, even if we lose one or two.  It's the first preseason game.  Some of the starters weren't even in it.  There is no scheming or game planning.  Let's see how guys do when it counts. I think we have a GM that knows a thing or two about defense.  Let it play out.
