And it’s common sense.

you don’t move all that you did and skip on the top QB on your board unless they offer some crazy offer including pick 12 this year.

at the same time.

you’d have to be silly if you think they’ll offer that to move up from 2 to 1

You do if you're equally happy with two quarterbacks and can get decent compensation.

You have to ask yourself this question, if Bryce Young is the unmistakably better QB, why are the Texans cool with waiting and taking Stroud?  If Washington could have moved up to take Andrew Luck back in 2012, they would have done that with all their heart and soul.  Carolina would be an absolute fool to not take CJ Stroud.

I have read they only want Young and if we take him Houston may decide on someone other than a qb.

Maybe they realize like all these reports that we Do like one guy.  And know it would take a Lot for them for us to trade off that guy, our QB1 for the 2nd guy on our board.

So they don't even call??  I mean if your potential franchise QB is one pick away from you and you aren't high on the other guys I would think you would at least call.  If we fire off an absurd offer or state it's not for sale then that's that.

Key word is IF.  Maybe whatever info that’s leaking that we like Bryce over Stroud, their people who were at the pro days and everything has that’s same info and hunch as well too.

I mean they may would like too.

but if Bryce is our QB1, why would we trade off?

If Young is the QB the coaching and front office want, I would have to say it would be foolish with Stroud on the board.  If teams around the league (including the Panthers) closely relate these two guys in terms of future success, you have to take the one who's more prototypical.  Even if Young is the better guy, he is only SLIGHTLY better.

It's still a hunch, though.

For someone to know that it's leaning one way or another, they'd have to have regular insight info of the discussions going on in the building.

I don't know if anybody has that much access.

(at least not anyone in the outside media)

The move marks the first in-season coaching change that Rams head coach Sean McVay has made in his nine seasons in Los Angeles. Rams assistant special teams coach Ben Kotwica will take over and become the lead special teams coach, a source told Schefter. The Rams, 11-4 and second place in the NFC West, lost to the Seahawks on Thursday night in a game that included a Seattle punt return for a touchdown and a missed 48-yard field goal by Los Angeles kicker Harrison Mevis. The Seahawks (12-3) overtook the Rams for first place in the division and the top overall record in the NFC thanks to the 38-37 overtime victory. Though the Rams have lost only four games this season, three have involved special teams miscues. In the Rams' first loss of the season, 33-26 to the Eagles, Los Angeles had its final two offensive possessions end with blocked kicks. In the Rams' Week 10 victory over the Saints, kicker Joshua Karty missed an extra point and a 39-yard field goal attempt. After the game, McVay said the Rams' special teams issues "can't continue like this." Los Angeles replaced long-snapper Alex Ward with Jake McQuaide and Karty with Mevis, who had not missed a kick until Thursday night in Seattle. Blackburn, 42, was in his third season as the Rams' special teams coordinator. A former linebacker for the Giants and Panthers, he also has worked as an assistant with Carolina and Tennessee.
    • It was a bad play from Icky but the OL didn't give up a sack until late in the 4th quarter and Bryce just stood there like he was canatonic. If our 3rd year number one overall pick can't overcome one single sack against a rebuilding Saints team that should only have 2 wins this season then it isn't ever going to happen   This is your quote. I mean I’ve quoted it twice. It was followed by calling people that defended him fugers and several other meltdowns I can also quote.    Shame you for working for a living??? Wow this is a whole new level to your victim mentality thing you like to do. You don’t have to watch games live. Or don’t spend an entire thread arguing about something you didn’t get the full picture of. I miss parts of games all the time. That’s just life. Not even going into the whole losing all respect thing.
    • Rams ended up firing ST coach and former Panthers coach Chase Blackburn after the loss. Sounds all too familiar.
