How the Top QB's performed when faced with pressure..

Every stroud hater is going to lose it,  their arguments are dispelled by numbers or film..The guy is just elite..it'd be a outright shame to pass on him for teddy bri....Bryce young. I'll cheer for the panthers regardless but missing out on a pure, accurate passer and thrower of the ball is asinine

What does "when he got blitzed" even mean? What if a blitz was called but nobody got home and the OLine held up? We know his completion percentage under pressure is in the low 40s. Seems a bit of a useless statistic if accuracy in a collapsing pocket is a lot worse.

It means your argument about him being so much better under pressure Is invalid..

But I heard from all the BY fan boys that Stroud sucks under pressure, I guess it's just something else they made up to help the guy that is built like a slot receiver.

He has a 41% completion rate under pressure, which is why this statistic seems a bit vague. If it's their completion percentage when a blitz is called it's not really telling you anything if you don't know if a defender(s) actually reached the QB or if the pocket collapsed.

That was his completion rate in 2022, but in 2021 he was better under pressure which means he can do it, I am not sure what happened to him this season.

According to PFF, his completion percentage when pressured (51.5 percent) leads the Big Ten and ranks 16th nationally. He likewise leads the conference while ranking second nationally in yards per attempt (12.2) while throwing under pressure, and he’s No. 1 in the country in passing efficiency when pressured.

The success when blitzed is a combination of getting the ball out quick and accurately, as well as an indication of good o-line.

Quickly getting the ball out is great. A very strong point for Stroud. When pressure arrives, that is the question. I’ve seen a lot of good examples of him navigating pressure (the Kurt Warner breakdown of the Michigan game is one example), and of course the Georgia game. So you have two choices:

1) Believe that he can do it and what he showed in the Georgia game (and other games) is what he projects to be in the NFL (common Stroud supporter view).

2) Believe the examples of him navigating pressure well are all outliers and he will not improve at the next level (Young supporters obviously supports outliers 😉).

In the end it all comes down to what you project him to become at the NFL level.
