...it's probably time to start looking at those prospects for the draft

I doubt Mallet will enter the draft this year.

Mallett will 100% be in the draft this year. The negotiations going on with the CBA and rookie contracts will force him to go b/c of the money risk he takes by not going. That and the fact that by the end of the combine he will be one of the top 3 QBs in the draft. I wish he didn't get so hot at the end of the year b/c he would be perfect for us at the top of the 2nd.

One QB that I've not heard mentioned on here is Bill Stull. IMO he could be one of the better QB of the entire draft. I also like the fact he plays in a pro-style offense in Pittsburgh which should help his transition into the NFL.

Resign Moore, then draft WR, DT, other needs in the 2nd and 3rd rounds and then get a steal in the 4th with Stull. However, I think by the time the draft rolls around Stull will be a 3rd rounder possibily pushing his way into the 2nd. Playing in a pro style offense really helps the stock of a QB.

There are so many good qbs this year we have to grab one. McCoy pike snead mallet keenum etc. Personally id like to see pike

Keenum will never sniff an NFL field.

I saw him play against ECU. Kid can barely throw it 20 yds. He lives by throwing 3-4 yard screens.

i don't think DT is a huge area of concern anymore --- we have a lot of depth now when leonard and maake come back

This is what I was thinking too, we have stocked up on DT's and it shouldn't be unreasonable to think that we can keep the best of what we have going into next year.

This year we have to retool the offense; WR, QB, OL depth.

We are pretty strong on defense IMO.

I guess we could still use a better pash rush.

You guys do realize that we need more than just a QB, right.

These are guys Ii think we realisticly have a shot at getting.

QB: Pike(Cinci), McCoy(UT), LaFevour(CM), Skinner(WF), Ponder(FSU)

WR: Gilyard(Cinci), Shipley(UT), Jacoby Ford (Clemson), Riley Cooper (UF), Dwayne Harris(ECU)

DE: Sapp(Clemson), Graham(Mich), Selvie (USF), Young(NCST), Wilson (ECU)

DT: Suh (Don't need one but this guy is great)

S: McCarthy(ND), Woodall(Bama), Coleman(Ohio S), Ward(Oregon)

BTW. What's the best website for draft info and player overviews?

    • 339. WR Moose Muhammad III, Texas A&M Muhammad, the son of former NFL wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad II, is adept at using his body to keep coverage defenders away from the ball. He generated a 119.8 passer rating when targeted in 2024, ranking 25th in the draft class. 255. WR Kobe Hudson, UCF Hudson brings point guard-like movement to the receiver position and makes for a fun watch due to his short-area quickness. But his limited long speed and questionable catch rate likely make him a mid-round projection. 183. DI Jared Harrison-Hunte, SMU Harrison-Hunte is an intriguing prospect to develop, considering he has the frame to fill out and flashes very good athleticism (4.86-second 40-yard dash, 1.69-second 10-yard split). He needs to improve his pad level, but he uses his athleticism effectively to defeat blocks at the line of scrimmage, posting 44 pressures with eight sacks in 2024. 171. G Luke Kandra, Cincinnati Kandra's athleticism and measured approach to the game give him the floor of a solid zone scheme backup and an average starter's ceiling. The end result will depend on his ability to play with better pad level and flexibility.
