So let’s talk about Levis

The Athletic's Dane Brugler believes the Titans will draft Kentucky QB Will Levis in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Levis, who entered Thursday night's opening round as a near-lock to go in the first five picks, slid out of the first round, perhaps due to lingering concerns over a toe injury that may or may not require surgery. The Titans are a good bet to take a quarterback in this draft with Ryan Tannehill entering his age-35 season and showing signs of decline in 2022. "The Titans did extensive work on the Kentucky quarterback, and though they felt No. 11 was too rich, the second round would be a nice landing spot," Brugler said. Levis would likely start 2023 as a backup unless the Titans deal Tannehill in the interim.

Firstly, let’s say it absolutely sucks for the kid to be invited to this and then not get picked. That must feel absolutely dreadful once you see 3 QBs go in the first four picks and you’re projected next he probably thought he would be drafted in the 15ish area.

That being said, he should go fairly quickly in round 2. And I know folks are thinking maybe Hooker jumps him but both of them suffer from pretty damning flaws. Both are older guys so from a physical and mental standpoint they should be further ahead of the other guys but they aren’t.

The tape Levis chose to put on by playing hurt, hurt. It wasn’t good this year. Hooker was hurt so bad he couldn’t finish the season. So you go back to last season to find positive Levis tape and it’s good. But it’s not terrific.

Now flip on Hookers tape and also know he’s like 25 already and watch their offense. Folks tried to clown CJ for throwing to wide open receivers and there’s plenty of tape of him throwing them open.

Side bar: Right now folks are very high on Marvin Harrison but he’s the perfect candidate to drop come draft time. He’s an amazing pass catcher in college but take note most of his catches have minimal separation in college. A WR going to 5 needs to be able to run away from most guys too. His tape didn’t show it this year.

Watch highlights of Hooker and it’s the Justin Fields tape. He locks onto the first guy and waits because at some point they will separate and more often than not they get the time it throw it. The difference is Justin was like 4 years younger going into his draft, had a much stronger arm, and right now he looks like a top 3 runner at QB in the entire league. Hooker doesn’t have those same traits. He was always going to be a round 2 or 3 guy in this class that had high end talent and then a massive gap to the lower guys. Levis should be the next one off the board because he does have the physical tools for the nfl. Hooker might be the next one after that.

Going to the well of drafting a project QB in the middle rounds once again I see. I wonder if they will try to flip Malik. Maybe we can offer a 1:1 swap of Malik for Matt since he’s not happy here and both guys get a fresh start.

This reminds me of the way Jimmy Clausen "fell."  If you recall, The Chiefs and Vikings wanted a QB and both passed on Clausen in round 1.  Then they passed on him in Round 2.  Meanwhile, Hurney was trying to trade up in the time between the first and second rounds, hoping to move up (with the Rams, I think) to get Clausen, but the Rams would not deal.  This was the draft that was pure Hurney because Fox was going into his lame duck year and everyone knew it.  He was not involved in the Draft.  So Marty is giddy when Clausen falls into the 40s and he grabs him.  He then bites on a bluff by the Colts who leaked that they were going to take Armanti Edwards in the third round--so he MOVED UP to get him.

Early 2nd round isnt "middle round" ... that is still early round. Drafting Levis at that spot isnt a reach by any means... it's actually a steal if you go by the data they were sharing last night. thre was less than .2% chance that WL fell out of the first round...  Levis would have gotten drafted last night if it wasnt the texans who traded up to the 3rd pick. That changed the whole landscape of the draft.

It's a bit early to dunk on Levis since not only has he not played, he's not even been drafted yet. I'm very glad he's not the No. 1 pick, but to say you were proven right before his career has begun is not quite valid.

Nah, you dunk on a guy who eats bananas with the peel still on and looks/acts like the 2nd coming of Todd Marinovich

If he's still there in the 3rd round I'd pull a Redskins and double dip at QB, especially if we add some more ammo trading down from 39. He's got tools to turn into a high end backup and with Bryce's size/durability concerns, it may not be a terrible idea to invest even a bit more in the most important position in football...

I really thought Washington or New England might move up for him,

is this what the kids call a "shitpost?"

It's an honest post.

He didn't clear my minimum height / weight requirements for the position.

Clearly he cleared Fitterer's and Reich's, which is all that ultimately matters.

    • Despite their differences, QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online +1-844-476-5438 also have plenty of overlap. Here’s a look at how these two QuickBooks accounting software options stack up. Essential core functions There are two versions of QuickBooks Desktop (Premier Plus and Enterprise) and four versions of QuickBooks Online (Simple Start, Essentials, Plus and Advanced).  All versions of QuickBooks +1-844-476-5438 offer similar essential functions, including the following: Import and organize transactions from bank and credit card accounts (PayPal and Square integration on Online only) Invoice creation Estimate and quote creation Accept payment from an embedded invoice link (through QuickBooks Business Network on Online only) See the status of invoices in real time Categorize business expenses for tax purposes Create reports (more reports on Desktop Enterprise and most Online versions) Capture receipts via OCR with expense category matching Charge and track sales tax (sync with Amazon, eBay and Shopify on Online only via third party apps or via add-on for Desktop Enterprise) 1099 contractor management  Inventory management (more inventory features for Desktop Enterprise and Excel imports/marketplace syncs via third-party add for Online editions) Time tracking (sync with QuickBooks Time Elite via add-on for desktop versions) Both QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online +1-844-476-5438 are especially well regarded for the following capabilities: Tax compliance Cash flow and expense tracking Business budgeting Ability to accept online payments General reporting features Multiple tiers Both QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks +1-844-476-5438 Online offer multiple service tiers that cater to different business needs, such as the number of employees who need to access the software. We’ll go into more detail on this later. QuickBooks Desktop vs. Online: The differences Here are some of the key differences between QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online. Features The main areas of difference between QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online lie in the accounting software features offered. The online version has several useful components that QuickBooks Desktop doesn’t. Here are some of the features exclusive to QuickBooks Online: Attach documents, images, signatures and more to individual transactions from both mobile and desktop devices Audit logging for tracking actions and changes over time Automatic nightly synchronization of bank transactions Auto-add banking rules Customize banking rules based on dollar value, percentage, class and location Journal entries with multiple accounts receivable and accounts payable (AR/AP) lines Turn management reports into presentations Scheduling and sending of future transactions with delayed credits and charges Support for multiple budgets during a fiscal year Transaction scheduling and dispatch automation Unlimited time tracking and reports-only users Conversely, many classic QuickBooks Desktop tools can’t be found in the online version. These Desktop-only tools fit neatly into five categories. Accounting: Ability to back up, restore and condense data and company files Correct unapplied credits and payments QuickBooks Statement Writer (add-on package for GAAP compliance) Client data reviewing Ability to post to extra AR/AP accounts Undeposited fund management Correction of sales taxes Create accounts for a specific time period Reporting: Industry-specific reporting options Header and footer customization on reports Support for multiple vendor ship-to addresses Business planners, balance sheets and forecasting by class Data entry: Batch invoices, transactions and timesheets Rate-level billing Automated Clearing House payments to vendors Inventory: Ability to build manufacturing features and assemblies Inventory reordering Partial receipt against purchase orders Value inventory using the average cost Management of sales orders and invoice tracking, unit measures and availability to promise Job costing: Ability to charge orders and change/markup estimate columns Payroll and labor cost calculation Reports for job costing estimates and actual amounts If you’re a QuickBooks Online user who wants these Desktop features, many third-party apps offer them for an extra charge.  Hosting QuickBooks Desktop is hosted locally, while QuickBooks Online is hosted in the cloud.  This means that QuickBooks Desktop users are limited to one hosting provider — the computer on which the software is installed — or a handful of licensed computers. QuickBooks Online can be accessed from any internet-connected device, including a mobile device with the QuickBooks app installed, after you enter a valid username and password. Because QuickBooks Online is cloud-based, it is a great option for those who need QuickBooks access while not in the office. QuickBooks Desktop is often limited to the number of installations included in your chosen service tier, so you may not be able to access the service if you can’t access the specific device with the software installed. One-time vs. monthly purchases Before the launch of QuickBooks Desktop 2022, the QuickBook products were available as a one-time purchase. Now, Premier Plus and Enterprise packages are available on a subscription-basis only. QuickBooks Online, on the other hand, is a monthly subscription. How much you’ll pay for each service depends on the service tier you buy. QuickBooks Desktop vs. Online: Service tiers and pricing You can choose from two QuickBooks Desktop tiers and five QuickBooks Online tiers.  QuickBooks Desktop service tiers and pricing QuickBooks Desktop will be discontinued on May 31, 2023. After that date, you won’t be able to access QuickBooks add-on services like Online Banking, Online Backup, Live Support and QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Services from any version of the desktop software.
