That's fuggin terrible man. Not just for Burrow (obviously hoping for a speedy recovery because the NFL is better when he's playing), but for the fans too. Imagine spending all offseason eagerly waiting to see your team for the new NFL season, only for your fandom to derail before it even starts because your superstar QB got hurt in training camp. Absolutely terrible for everybody. I'm hoping it really is just a calf strain like first thought instead of something more serious.

Sam Howell is STILL one I had hoped we would take and feel like we missed the boat on. What did they get him for? Was he a sixth round pick? I dont even remember but all I do remember is how disappointed I was that we didnt go after him when he fell so far in the draft.

Matt Rhule would have buried him just like he did with Corral and we’d be sitting here in the same position with Bryce Young and Howell instead of Corral just hoping he shows enough in preseason to develop some trade value.

I don't disagree at all with the point that Rhule is a clown but Howell played in 1 game last year and only because Wentz and Heinicke got hurt/sucked. It's not like he started a season and got a ton of reps/time.

Heinicke had to go to Ron and essentially bench himself and tell Ron that he NEEDS to play Sam Howell, he's that dude. Because as we know Ron gonna Ron. Muh vets and all that.

Probably but sometimes even the biggest idiots cannot keep a potential star from shining. Im not saying Howell is a guaranteed star but he seemed like he had so much upside where he was had by Washington at the time.

    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
