Lines:

Forwards:

Noesen - Aho - Jarvis

Martinook - Kotkaniemi - Fast

Drury - Staal - Necas

Stepan - Stastny - Puljujarvi

Defense:

Slavin - Burns

Skjei - Pesce

Gostisbehere - Chatfield

Goalies:

Andersen

------------------------------------

These lines produced opportunities galore Wednesday night. Necas had a gaping net, Aho and the gang rang the post 3 times and the Devils are so worried about Noesen camped in front of the crease, they're playing home and leaving the wings open.

I don't see how NJ's blue line can keep up with these lines at all. Wouldn't be surprised to see another 3-4 goals tonite.

4th line concerns me a little- they are the 3 slowest guys on the team. I can't see this line remaining as is when the games go to NJ and they have last change.

We just need the fourth line to play 3+ minutes more than typical 9 they play to keep fresh legs on our top lines like they did last game. Somebody here pointed out Aho played 18+ minutes instead of his 22 typical and he and the rest of the team looked good all night.

It was KK played 17:55. Aho didn’t even break 17 minutes.

Out in the parking lot too boys!! Tailgate is lit!

My backyard is lit as well! Some punk bands on YouTube and my boxer dog constantly wanting to play fetch. I wish I was at PNC!

Hope the boys come out fast and focused and get their goalie pulled again. Pool Party to notch tonight.

lets fuging go!

    • Canales was asked about Freeling at OTAs getting beat by Princely and Scourton.  He basically described the learning curve, and it sounds as if Freeling has a lot to learn before taking the job.  Walker gives us time.  Having said that, Motown talks like he has a few (2-3?) years left---and I would love to see it.   If you look at the contracts, It is a good bet that Hunt and Lewis are extended and given some guaranteed $$$ to lower the cap hit.  Lewis is about 29 and Hunt is 30, I believe.  That gives us about a 3-year window to start grooming their replacements.  Ickey seems to be the person who could be left without furniture in the musical chairs game.  I would move him to guard and use him like a Travelle Wharton--we have a good problem--we could have six or seven starting OL on the roster.  Of course, that won't last long.
    • I see this point and agree--However, someone is going to bite.  In fact, I think there will be some bluffing going on to make the desperate teams raise the stakes.  We shall see.
    • I could see a team like the Jets, Cardinals etc. bid a second round pick, get a year to see where he’s at, and still take a first round QB if he doesn’t show the right stuff. A risk well worth taking. I just wonder how much of a mental toll the last few months have taken on him?
