Leaky is a waste of a signing. Always count on MJ and Mitch to give a Tar Heel an undeserving chance. There are plenty players that could provide us with defense.

Guy, it’s a two-way contract it’s not like he’s going to get 30 minutes a game. If anything he’ll be in the G-League. Get a grip.

It's the last one before MJ relinquishes power. The Graduation Presents™️ are finally gonna be a thing of the past.

Hopefully they get the trade for Nnaji finalized before summer league, I’d like to see him get to play.

I’m glad they drafted a PG to play with the guys on the Summer League team finally.. Last year was brutal watching guys not being able to get Mark the ball..

Oh poo that’s right, I completely forgot about that. Hopefully Mark is back out there. I’d like to see him and Miller get to play together early.

Fun fact Brandon Miller was a pg in high school.

Those ball handling issues seem to be overblown. He has a decent handle to be 6'9. Wouldn't be surprised if they use him as a playmaker in summer league. He has shown he can pass if given the opportunity.

Really feeling pretty good about us drafting him.  We did need the shooting and his size is ideal.  To be as good a shooter as he is he still has a lot of potential to get better.  Should be exciting to see him develop.

Nick Smith might end up being what Bouknight was supposed to be and he might be a steal

Agreed, reading and watching him I can see he is raw offensively but when you dunk everything that doesn’t matter much.  Definitely a defensive beast though

It’s so stupid we traded that Jalen Duren pick because we supposedly couldn’t use it but used one of the picks to draft a similar but worse and more raw player than Duren. Probably would have been better off just drafting both Duren and Williams and we’d really only be out Nick Smith. Smith better be the steal of the draft, they got lucky a lottery prospect fell to them.

Coming from a Carolina fan, Mark Williams was the right pick and the fans got it 100% wrong in thinking Duren was/is better than Williams.

Most people stopped paying attention to the Hornets down the stretch as did I, but I still followed Williams’ progression.

To start off, Williams put up nearly identical numbers to Duren and was doing so in six less minutes per game. Duren averaged 25 minutes a game to Williams’ 19 minutes a game.

So what we need to do is look at Williams’ and Duren’s Per 36 and here’s where you can see that Williams was the right pick. Per 36, Williams averaged more points, more rebounds, more blocks, more steals, less turnovers, and had a better free throw percentage than Duren.

The Hornets got that pick right but as you mentioned, Nick Smith needs to pan out for the trade not to look idiotic as you simply don’t trade the 13th pick for the 27th pick.

What I don’t like is that Griffin and Branham were sitting right there for us to take and we traded the pick. Both of those players ended up having solid seasons.
