Also, it’s clear the only two players playing on our team is burns and Aho.(Fasty not included. That dude never quits).

Slavin has been great in the playoffs. I think several of our players have shown effort also (Marty, Fast, Mac, Jarvis).

The problem is who is a go-to scorer on lines 2-4 outside of Necas (who disappears in the playoffs).

I mean specifically so far in this game. A lot of our guys are just going through the motions.

A couple observations ....

I love Rod but for such an intense coach, have never seen a team have their nuts clipped every game.  Except for the first 4 minutes of game 3, PHYSICALITY is really poor.  Not saying take mindless penalties but it is part of the game and we don't have it.  Maybe we will win a sportsmanship award.

Second ... with a hot goalie like Bob ... you can't play the perimeter game and not put bodies in front of the net.  Need to force him to make unnatural movements to see around players and interrupt his rhythm.  Not going to beat him by looking for the perfect pass or open looks from top of the circle.  We are helping him look great.

I don't care who but somebody drop the gloves with Bennett or Chuk.

    • Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.
    • We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).
    • I hear you but yeah like you say, above average. His numbers were good. You’d think it would be a no brainer. Anyhow… I guess the new staff is also fine with him walking?    I hope if we sign him there isn’t some secret issue of his that led to him not being valued.
