I would say we aren't giving him life. He is still working as a coach. To your point, no one really talks about Seifert anymore.

Despite the time difference, Seifert and Rhule were two different types of awful. Seifert at least had an arc in 1999/2000 before collapsing in 01 while Rhule was a systemic failure due to incompetence.

Seifert has an established pedigree and came from one of the greatest FB brains and systems of all time. That alone bails him out.

Ruhle is the worst coach in team history, followed by Perry Fewell.

It has a shelf life, and if he does great it extends.

If Reich and the all star cast fail, it extends. Big time, then. I mean, just look at who they brought in that couldn't do any better....

Even if the Panthers win, it is with his players. Need him to flame out in huskerville, then that is who he talks about.

Well I think I brought Seifert into the conversation to illustrate that we never talk about him anymore, because he is no longer working as a coach. The only comparison that I think is fair between the 2 is that they are both former coaches here, and were not successful.

The idea of giving life to Rhule is a little off-base, especially when it's taken into account that he, not us, continues to bring his failure up, and how it's not his fault. He wants to make sure anyone listening is 100% aware of that.

Snuck in a litle Covid excuse in there, nice. We actually looked better in 2020 than early 22 when Covid wasn't a hinderance to the teams any longer

Rhule's best game as a offensive coach was probably the first game, against the raiders I think.  But the offense got worse as he coached them up.

    • Two things: 1. Dr. Eric Eager is central to the draft process 2. I know that it was edited, but we didn't hear "Thieneman" one time, not even before the Vikings pick.
    • Why would he sign here as a guard when surely someone would sign him as a tackle?  Assuming he is healthy
    • Went back to watching the highlights. With a sober mind haha. Here is what I saw.    freddie needs to make 1 of those but the rest aren’t on him.    Slavin was BBBBAAAD again last night. Not sure what is going on with these game one Slavin gafs.    miller was ok but had his worst game in the playoffs so far.    nikishin was no good. His his awful turnover led to the first goal at the end of the first period that just can’t happen. ghost was beat like a drum multiple times last night, including the go-ahead goal at the end jarivs wont shoot. He is either hurt or he is struggling mentally and I think it could be a combination of both. He passed up a wide open net on the power-play only to pass it to no one and cleared it himself.     Svech played well. He is getting zero help on that line.    aho. Worst game as a pro. I mean that. He won’t shoot it, passes go to no one and turns it over repeatedly.  He did exactly what they did against Montreal game one when Miller had a turnover. Aho left his man to go help and left the golden Knight player wide open in front of Freddie.  If I was Rod, you Tell Aho when that thing hits your stick you fire it  someone needs to sit him down just him in a room and ask what’s going on. He seems soft, timid and has zero fire.   canes could have won that game   There isn’t a gap between these two teams  they are dead even   Carter Hart’s gonna get lit up in this series. We can beat that guy. the consensus last night was our defense played horrible and our stars won’t score.  clean the defense up. Tell the top line to shoot it everything and we’ll win tomorrow night.   Possibly convincingly.
