Bryce Young needs to ride the bench this season. Let him learn behind Dalton before it's too late.

I mean... he looked like Jimmy Clausen out there dude...

Yeah, this is just a crazy take.  Clearly you don't remember how bad Clausen was.  There is a reason he finished with 3 TDs in 299 throws.

Either that or you are letting pure hatred cloud your judgment and evaluation.

Regency basis.. Either ppl don’t remember Clausen and the team he had surrounding him.. Or they hated BY from the get go and haven’t been able to vocalize this until his 1st bad game..

LOL

If Bryce isn't ready now then more time really won't matter. His entire thing was being a pro ready and mature QB. His knock is he didn't have a lot of potential growth, like none. Unlike with a high growth rookie starting at a lower floor it won't take years to figure out if Bryce has a future or is a bust. Either he steps up or they should start looking for other people to bring in next year.

He really looks physically limited and he wasn't Clausen level bad but he looked like a less talented Teddy that couldn't see the field as well.

I love Cam and finally some of you are putting respect on his name.. But if you were expecting a Cam like performance in BY 1st game..

1. Don’t understand how different Cam was..

2. Don’t understand the difference in QB play in general.. And Why some QB types succeed early and different types need more time..

3. Cam had more reps with his team then BY plus he had a better offensive group as well..

Yeah, he didn't have the physical or mental ability to be a practice squad QB. I'm not impressed with Bryce but at least he is smart. Clausen was a potato with tiny hands and blond hair.

    • OK, fair enough--however, since my point was that drafting a QB in the top 10 is stupid, if you consider the players who were not drafted in the top 10 or those who WERE drafted in the top 10 and did not secure starting positions with the team that drafted them, you should see the point.  Is it smart to draft a QB in the top 10 when only 4 are still starting for the team that drafted them.  Next, consider that half of that number, 2, were drafted outside the first round.  Next, there are 4 (Goff, Mayfield, Jones, and Darnold) who are starting on other teams after busting.   That number could increase as Arizona seems ready to move on from Murray, Miami is not sold on Tua, and jacksonville is still waiting for Trevor to start looking elite.  Bryce?   So to answer your question, there are MANY more QBs in the NFL who have busted and become starters on other rosters, were drafted after day 1, or are still on the cusp than the four who have become elite.  I thought that point was made.
    • I’m more upset that we are changing uniforms in the middle of this road win streak. We have won our last 3 road games in Silver Helmets, White Jerseys, and Blue Pants. We are supposedly wearing Black Helmets, White Jerseys, Black Pants this week… I am a superstitious person
    • He did so well they are moving him to RB, Legette to QB, and Moton to TE…. Interesting. Coker might struggle at LT https://www.panthers.com/news/panthers-release-depth-chart-ahead-of-week-12-for-the-2025-season
