i dont know if he was worth the million and ahalf he made this season. but i do know all and all he performed well getting double digit sacks dispite a broken hand. it d be ashame to let the future hall of famer walk with no compensation, even if he doesnt give 100% all game 80% of peppers is still better than most defensive ends in the nfl. i hope he resigns long term but if not are we open to taging him again????

I do think he is worth it, especially with Brown and Johnson developing. Pep is special, the kind of player you try your best to hang on to. Hopefully we can work something out in the offseason long term.

His athleticism is uncanny. He also seems like he has a pivotal role inside the locker room as well. Definitely a special player.

he is worth it. He needs to be properly motivated is all. That motivations stems from him feeling he has a chance to win in my opinion.

Seeing Pep meet Moore on the sideline with celebratory fives and back slaps tells me all I need to know about the peppers "effort" situation and confirms all I have believed about the defense laying down at times over the last 4-5 years.

Peps not a HOFer. Not yet any way he will need to play lights out for a couple seasons in row to be a HOFer.

No, he's not a HOFer... he'd have to pump out several 15+ sack seasons and set some records to do that... he's capable, we've seen that the last two games.

Properly motivated, yes he's worth it... he's a game changer. What has caused this surge late this year? Delhomme no longer the QB? Weird as it sounds could that be it?

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
