His lazy ass dropback is what caused that.  If his feet were set he could have thrown hot.

Had to be a fast read but he could have made it, but chuba was suppose to block the right side.

No idea why that ball didn’t instantly go to Chark. This isn’t the first time it looks like Bryce is second guessing himself in the pocket

he isnt the first read from what I am gathering. The first read is TMJ then Thomas and most likely back to Chark

It's not the first read is the problem. The play is designed to go TMJ>THOMAS>THIELEN/CHARK

 

It's a flood concept to pull the zone away from the middle of the field. Thomas and Chark are running the man beaters. If Chuba is able to stay on the strong side and block Smith.. that ball is either going back of the endzone to Thielen or middle to Chark

So Ian wasn't supposed to chip the end?  I was screaming at Thomas on that play.  How can you have pass rusher lined up across from you and allow him to get a free release?

He’s looking at the open man before he even knows pressure is coming. Why isn’t he throwing it? Definitely a bad pickup by Chuba… but the quick strike is there and should have been made.

I retract my last post… explains a lot.. I’m becoming more intrigued of what BY might be able to accomplish with proper blocking… not holding my breath tho..

Only if the end goes upfield... but the end crashed because they had an outside blitz coming Smith
